He is a class act and a deserving finalist.

What an incredible honor to be considered for this award for Kam.  He truly deserves all of the accolades.  He's a first class individual and one of the best football players in the country!

"Look, man, the book's a phony!"

Greg Brady always did the right thing. Why, oh, why didn't that Jerry Rogers creep believe him when Greg told him that the stolen playbook was a fake? Was is because he was, as Marcia put it, "Jerry Rogers: Quarterback and dreamy ..."?

Never trust a quarterback.

LOL...

Amen.  Never, ever trust a quarterback - particularly one that is "dreamy" or thinks he is.

These Brady quotes are bringing back repressed memories of horrible haircuts (or lack thereof) and freakish clothes.

Indeed.  It speaks even more about his talent level when you consider the class that he has been nominated with.

Mugsy,

What did you do with those pants that you had like the Brady 6's?

Mugsy,

Personally I liked the outfits when they were "The Silver Platters" better.  White with blue trim.

CardinalAlum likes Jan best, especially when she gets fired up when she sings with her brothers and sisters. She's on the very left, in case you can't find her. http://www.bradybunchshrine.com/bradybunch/Pictures/Pictures2/bbpurple.jpg

They still fit like a glove.  Just waiting for orange, ployester, flair-botton pants to come back in style.  Probably won't be for another few decades.

Here is the link to an article in the Daily Herald regarding the Wheaton game.  http://www.dailyherald.com/search/searchstory.asp?id=251733  There is also a link on the Wheaton athletics web page (www.wheaton.edu/athletics) under the football subheading.  I am concerned at the amount of penalties in this last game.  If Wheaton commits 110 yards of penalties against the Purple Raiders the Thunder will be toast in Alliance yet again.

Scary thing is that Mount Union averages almost 100 yards in penalities a game and it doesn't impede their ability to destroy everyone.  Could ultimately cost them if someone plays them tough...

Unfortunately for Wheaton, because of Mount's talent level and great coaching they have been able to overcome the penalties.  Being the underdog, it's obvious that the Thunder can't give any help to the Raiders.

Another thing (besides kickoffs) that has me really concerned is the Raider's team speed on defense.  Wheaton's offense is not a slouch offense (especially if you don't consider their turnover-itis  :D) but it will probably take some time to adjust to the speed. If they get behind early because of Mount's explosive offense, it might be lights out before the Wheaton O can get going.

I think Wheaton will be mentally prepared for Saturday's games. As Coach Swider calls it, "We will keep pounding the rock, and hopefully our pounding will put us on top."
If MUC is to win, it will be on sheer talent on the field.  Wheaton will not lose this game "mentally" as some teams do.  Some teams have already placed the L on the scoresheet before they even step on the field in Alliance.  I think both OAC/CCIW games are close, and I hope we can talk about another weekend of football with a CCIW team involved.

"I think CUW should enter the CCIW"  FalcsFB
I was talking to some of the folks after the CUW/NC game about this very topic.    Mequon, WI is just a short drive up I94 and would make for a great rivalry with Carthage/Elmhurst/NC/NPU/Wheaton.  In 2008 Wheaton begins playing CUW in non-conference play.
In the past Lake Forest and Carroll have been in the CCIW.  As Midwest FB put it, I too would like to see more Wisconsin teams enter.  Let's face it, that Northern Athletics Conference is going to be pretty weak for the sport of football.  I think CUW would benefit from playing in the CCIW that is a much stronger league.  CUW, Lakeland, and Carroll would be the 3 W schools I would like to see enter/re-enter the league.

I believe a lot of the penalties in the MSJ game came in late 3rd and 4th quarter which were committed by 2nd string defense backfield and back up offensive linemen.
The troubling part is their fumbles 2 by 1st string WRs and 1 by starting RB.  Those are more difficult to overcome esp. against MU.
