Does anyone know when All-Region and All-American honors are posted on D3?

We announce our All-American team in the pregame show for the Stagg Bowl and it is posted on the site that night or the next morning.

We should be releasing our All-Region teams tomorrow -- the only question is if I'll have enough time to compile the votes and write the press releases between getting off work tonight and going to work tomorrow.

Your wife must just love this time of year.  ;)

This year more than most. Remember, I took a job in Connecticut in August. The rest of the family is still in the D.C. area. She's not getting a lot of help right now.  :-\

Look at the bright side Pat  now you are able to live in the beautiful place of which we call "RED SOX NATION"
We will always be REDMEN

Congrats to all the CCIW players honored in the All-Region voting.

A special congrats to Amdy Studebaker from Wheaton who earned D3 All North Defensive Player of the Year.

CCIW schools were well represented on the All-Region team (mixed in with almost the entire Mount Union team).  Congrats to all.

Special congrats to "Son of Tailgater" on 1st team selection.  Way to go.

Congrats to NC and fellow CCIW players on the all-region selections.  With Studebaker and Ittersagen leading, it looks like Wheaton is the early favorite for next year in the CCIW.  They are also the only two players with legit shots at 1st team All-american along with Stuedemann if they have a Tight End.

Too bad Studemann doesn't play Tight End. 8) 8) 8)

SHHHHH....  Thats a secret.  He has a Tight End type Frame, and that is good enough.  Plus, if NCC ran an offense with a tight end, he wouldve probably played it.

To bad for Kam that Pentello is in his Region

What are the chances that the 1st and 2nd team All-American  QB's come from the same region?

What constitutes a tight end frame?  I'm curious.   ;D

6'3"  210 lbs, good blocking ability.  He just looks like a tight end out there..  Reminds me of a scaled down Jeremy Shockey in Division 3 football.

Sounds like a big wide receiver to me with the unusual ability to block.   ;)

I was curious what his dimensions were just to compare to other tight ends, like I formerly was.  Even at the D3 level, I would expect a tight end to be 230+ pounds but about the same height.

I guess it does sound like that.

You guys had Huge tight ends in 01 and 02, i remember that.  The Defense NC played had a guy lining up on the tight end, in a bear position and playing man.

Tight End-  between 6'2'- 6'5   225- 260 is pretty good size for D3
I would day

Thanks for some of the kudos, I think.   ;)  My first year was 01 and I was the 3rd string TE behind two seniors:  Jake Quinton and Shaun Frizelle.  Jake was all of 6'6 and 255 and Shaun was 6'3 and 265.

In 2002, Bob Cullen and I shared time at TE and we were very good with a double tight "Ace" type formation with 2 wide receivers.  Bob ran about 6'4 and 240 and I was about 6'2 and 235.

After our graduation came Brock Klein and he's no small guy either.  He was (and probably still is) 6'4 and 250.

IWU has never had a shortage of big tight ends.  Maybe that's where I think of a tight end usually having more size.  I came into college at 215, still larger than Studemann as a senior.

Yet, it's not all about the size in football, as we all know.  Just stating a point that tight ends are, for the most part, larger than 210.

Just stop it right now. Stuedeman lined up at TE at least once per game. ;D ;D ;D ;D
