I am not a Peyton Manning (or Eli) fan but I DO think those commercials are pretty funny.  I like when he asks the Restaurant folks for their aprons.
Early forecast (ABC 7) says 25-28 degrees and  a good chance of snow!  Bears weather and advantage Bears,  hopefully that will transcribe into Bears win!

As for the AFC, I'd love to see Peyton Manning lose.  I REALLY dislike his commercials! >:(  I also think that Tom Brady deserves to go to the Super Bowl again.  He has been the figurehead of that offensive unit and plays great.

I would LOVE to see Peyton Manning get to the Super Bowl. He diserves it. Even if you don't like his commercials, I think that he is the best QB of all-time! I know thats a strong statement but look what he does for that team. He is not just their QB but their offensive cord. He calls the plays. I don't think that Super Bowls define a great QB. I mean look at Dilfer, or Marino, or even Jimmy Mc. Don't get me wrong, Tom Brady is a great QB but I don't think he is a better QB than Peyton. To win a Super Bowl, you need more than a great QB. Look at almost all of the Super Bowl teams that have won. Almost all of them had a great defense. I am not trying to cut you down Titan, because you are my boy  ;D, but I have so much respect for Peyton and I really wish the Bears had a QB like him.

As for the Bears, should be a great game. I think that homefield is huge for the Bears. If the Bears had to play in NO, then I would think the Saints would win. I really hope is snows because that is a big advantage for the Bears and I just love watching and playing for that matter, in snow games.

Yes Donovan will return to Carthage to play next season. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of his magic from punt formation.

I agree...Brandon would certainly not be considered for a Linebacker at the NFL level. He is a very good athlete and might be considered for and converted to a Strong Safety, Free Safety or maybe even a Corner. Keep in mind Fox & Moore are merely on the NFL scouting radar screen. The probability of being drafted or allowed to walk on for a tryout at this point are at best remote.

Good i'm glad that D. Moore is coming back. That will be a huge help to the team.

As for B. Fox, I know he wont get drafted. If just one D3 player is drafted that would be amazing. I know that he is just on the scouting radar and if he works hard he could make a practice squad as a saftey. He has the talent but he just needs a little more size.

Good input on Peyton and I do agree that he is a great quarterback.  Maybe I should have said the reasons that I like the Patriots and Tom Brady.  Tom Brady has basically taken a team with no well known wide recievers and turned Jabar Gaffney and Reche Caldwell into quality receivers.  Peyton has the luxury of two standout WRs that make one of the best tandems in the league.

In short, if the Colts defense keeps playing so well and Peyton has a so-so game, I still think the Pats win.  Peyton must have a great game along with the Colt defense to get to the SB.  If he does, then I will applaud him.  Til then, I stick with the boys from Foxboro.

I hope it snows in the Chi this weekend.  That's exactly what the Bears need to pull off a good win!

Your point is well taken but I think we can both say that the pats do have a better defense and a good defense goes a long way.

At least we both agree on the Bears this weekend  ;D

48 hours prior to the game and the Channel 7 news says 100% chance of snow, expecting 1-4 inches!  Bring it on!
The weather man (Rob DiMaio) says, "The tailgaters will be out their cooking their brats and drinking KOOL AID  (which we all know is not kool aid) but I got a kick out of what beverage alternative he chose to mention on the air.  :D
I'm thinking Bears 27  Saints 21
All the talk is about how Rex will do, but I think more important is how the secondary is playing and the D-Line.  Brees can't have all day to sit in the pocket and look for receivers, as Hasslebeck had many occasions.

Bear down...Chicago Bears...

Thinking about Reggie Bush pointing at Urlacher on that touchdown makes what the Bears did to 'em all the sweeter. One more to go.

The game's unsung hero was Brad Maynard. He had a 44.7 average for seven punts, and, remarkably, put four of them inside the 20 yard line -- including the third-quarter punt that went out of bounds at the 5 and directly led to the safety that changed the game.

Nobody ever gives the punter any love, but since Maynard's performance was so huge I figured he deserves a shout-out.

Chicago  Bears 39
NO Saints  14
What a job by the Bears and the sweetest part, was seeing the Fox Crew (which was primarily pulling for the Saints) have to talk all about the Bears after the game.
I can understand Bradshaw, being a LA native, but the rest of the crew was so pro-New Orleans,  I muted the TV and turned on the Bears pre-game radio.

1986 I was in Kindergarten and only have a taped video to recollect the game.  This time, I am ready to absorb all the images  and joy associated with the Super Bowl!

I thought the entire scene, with the snow falling, plummeting temperatures, and a bunch of cold Bears fans huddling together, watching Dorsett hand to Halas trophy to McCaskey was just great! :D

Miami here we come to return the Lombardi Trophy to one of the origins of football!

Greg----

Great point!
I felt the safety was definately the point that changed the game, but Maynard's punt certainly put the defense in the position of being able to make the play.

Speaking of shout-outs..............................

Heres a shout-out to all the knowledgeable posters here who regularly disagree during the CCIW football, basketball, and prob every other season too, but can come together in support of DA BEARS and a Super Bowl victory.
