go to the schools website and look under news. But I think it is still early to have this info posted

(I'm not bothering quoting that mess above)
Thanks for the information...I guess any game experience is always valuable (did they play any JV games either?)

when do the schools typically post their recruiting class and 2007 previews.  I know a lot of recruiting is still going on, so just curious.

Because in D3 there is no authentic letter of intent as with D1 programs (some schools still do hold signings for publicity for the program, for family reasons, etc.), most schools are a little shy about putting up recruits until June or July.  Until the student shows up on campus, they can always choose a different option as far as where to attend, and even after they show up sometimes..........

Whatever happened to Wes Welneck the transfer from Olivet Nazarene University?
[/quote]

NCC_Alum62...Welneck fractured several vertebrae last season during camp.  I have heard that he is progressing well and should be able to return to action this year.   This should give Ponx several options because you will have Kasper with 2 years, and Welneck, and Armstrong each with 1 year of varsity experience at the guard spot.  As you stated, Palmer and Braga are returning, and they had several big freshman tackles last year that had a lot of potential, so Ponx has options...

I'm very sorry to hear that. I didn't know he had injured himself.  He played very well the year I saw him play and came in with a ton of potential.  I'm glad he may return. Was he the guy wearing 66 on the sidelines all this past year?

The O-line keeps getting better and better.  They'll be relied upon very heavily while the cardinals break in a new QB...on that front New Tradition any words about the potential kids that could step into the QB role next year?

Football 2007  as a former player for Carthage I can tell you that some of the coaches are teamates of mine and are good men.  I think Coach Rucks will do a great job guiding your son on the right path from young man to a responsible and respectable adult.  And he will have a great experience playing football at Carthage along the way.  Congrats to your new REDMEN player.
We will always be REDMEN

I am good friends with Coach Rucks and have met Coach Campbell a few times... both are very good people and good football minds.
Ah, I hope all of you are able to enjoy this beautiful weather the Midwest is experiencing. 70-80 degree weather in March is great!  Let's suit up and play football.
I am looking at some of the rosters and who is returning.  While I think Wheaton has the best numbers returning, I think a sleeper team could be IWU.  If the Titans can put it all together and perhaps sneak in a few quality linemen recruiting,  I think the Titans might have something.  Just speculation.

I have talked with a few Elmhurst coaches and without going into too much detail,  they are excited about their recruits and excited that Kudyba will be returning from 2005's injury.

NCCAlum62,
I don't know whether Fanthorpe or Knapczyk is favored right now, but I would not be surprised if Jeff Thorne didn't know who currently holds the edge.  Both showed their strengths and flaws last year during JV games, and both show a tremendous amount of upside.  Personally, I think they both throw well, but Knapczyk is bigger and throws a better long ball, but Fanthorpe has better legs and is the better runner.  I know last year that Knapczyk had the edge and would be the first to get playing time when Kam was done for the game, but after an entire offseason of Helter Skelter and Weinke's lifting and speed programs, and an entire offseason of studying the system, who knows who will come out on top...

Son of Tailgater

Sorry everyone,
I have been busy looking for jobs and have not visited the board recently. I would be willing to answer any questions that any one has but also Keil59 is equally if not better at answering most of the questions than I am. I have been trying to stay away from the board because it is still a bit depressing not being able to participate in spring ball and all of the off season activities. I hope everyone hear is doing well and can't wait for football to start up again here shortly. Until then GO CUBS! :)

SOT, I think all of us former players still miss it in some way.  For me, the worst time is late summer/early fall when the morning air has a very unique smell of dew covered grass.  That smell is unmistakable.  Now that being said, I think most if not all of us former players who have been away from the game 10 years or more will also tell you, playing flag football can be hard enough on the bones and joints, so that feeling of wanting to put the pads back on is quickly diminished with the realization that doing so may very well lead to a hospital stay.  That's why we post on the board.  We can still talk about how great we'd still be without actually having to prove it.
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!
