usee- I started my post with IMO. You can agree or disagree with that. It doesn't bother me a bit. I have seen him play more than once and I have seen some other D-1 recruits play also and the fact that he was a D-1 recruit says an awful lot. I am pretty sure I don't have to see every player in the CCIW at any given position to have an opinion of who I think is a better player. Thank You.

I didn't say i disagreed. i asked why you think this its true. you just gave me some of that information in this post, albeit with a little attitude (which i enjoy). Generally when you state an opinion it is formed by some basis in fact although increasingly i question whether this is true for your posts (back at ya). I also think that if you are going to say a player is better than every other CCIW QB you better have a pretty good idea what your talking about. You lose credibility on here pretty quickly when you make sweeping statements about a school you don't even follow.

Your assertion may indeed prove to be true but you state it like its a fact which I challenged. You can say whatever you want on here and state it as opinion but if you want to add to the discussion and get a response you should bring some backup points to discuss.

To that end I believe Ullrich will have a great year for Wheaton this year because he saw decent time at Northern 2 years ago and had significant action and a year of experience in the CCIW under his belt. Kniss sat the bench all last year at EIU after playing some the year before and comes in with no experience in NCC system or CCIW.

Unfortunately we now live in a society where "every opinion is as good as the next", therefore I don't have to support my opinion. Well  IMHO just because you are a DI recruit does not mean sh@t. how many kids have we seen who have been considered DI and never saw a whiff of the field, some never making it past their first year.so being a DI recruit does not say alot. the last petulant staement pretty much sums up this poster for me. this is the same guy who says that unless a 3&7 team improves its line play it will not bein the top four in the conference. That must have taken hours of film review to come up with that insight. There are many good posters who want to add to the discussion here, but IMHO this guy is shooting for his first ever all- conference nomination, by running up his post numbers with dreck like this. i just have to call bullsh!t when i see it.

For the record I believe Titanwatcher is referring to Comet 14's post here not mine. Of course I could be wrong and am formulatig a draft response just in case.  ;D

Usee at the risk of seeming unChristian, the only person who would see my missive as a response to you is Comet14. just to prove it, i will not comment on the missing "n" in formulating. go Crusaders

what missing 'n' ??

Comet 14

titanwatcher- First, I am surely not as smart as you because off the top of my head I have no idea what petulant means nor do I no how to spell statement correctly ( staetment). I don't know how many posts it takes to go to all-conference and untill your post didn't realize what level was next. I am pretty confident that ther is no n in formulating, and after usee so kindly asked I tried to give him my reasons for my statement good or bad. Thank you for your opinion on my posting prowess. Thank You and GO Bluejays!

79jaybird, Have you heard any news about Elmhurst's recruiting class? I keep looking on the website and don't see anything yet.

You guys are bickering about a silly spelling topic instead of discussing factual football related info.

Comet I met with Barry Brennan our Athletic Recruiter last week and he filled me in with some information.  Barry is not one who likes to toss out names, so I don't really have any names or positions to share.  I can tell you that Barry was very happy with some of the recruits, signees, and the conferences of which EC will be getting talent for 2007.
I too, don't really pay much attention to recruits until they put on the EC gameday jersey and make plays.  I think it is GREAT that the recruits have chosen a great school, great conference, and a great group of kids to play with at EC, but I really don't "get involved" with them until they play the games.

having read some of your prior posts, you did not need to make that admission, it is painfully obvious, but that is not the point. Your confidence that there is no n in formulating, which is mystifing to me since you typed the n when you spelled the word, matches the depth of the knowledge on just about anything you have typed on this board. My point was not draw a comparison of intellect, it was to emphasize what usee had already stated. this is a discussion board, when invited to show facts to support your opinions, you reacted like an 8 year old who crapped the bed. usee's was not a personal attack, and you can correct me if im wromg usee, but an inducement to support your, gotta use a word he can understand, dumb ass statements. there is a moticum of respect on this board that i have seen between long time posters and newbies. being neither i am still struck by your willy- nilly posts here that show a lack of respect for people who have been here and involved in the CCIW for a very long time. people who have a depth of knowledge that i think anyone who posts on this board not only respects, but values. i find your responses when questioned ,childlike and disrespectful to the people here. the dictionary defines prowess as; a valient or daring deed. I have seen none of that from you, but will be happy to point it out when and if you are able

and yes i did spell wrong, wrong on purpose

Ah, Barry Brennan.  He was my high school basketball coach.  A great coach and a great man.  He was always willing to stay after practice and do some extra drills to work on aspects of my game (or lack thereof).  I have great respect for Coach Brennan.   Someone gave me his card with his Elmhurst office contact info. last year, but I haven't had the chance to talk to him yet.

Mugsy--what a small world!  Yes, Barry has been a blessing for Elmhurst and really for all young athletes growing up.  He is a class act and a pretty knowledgeable figure in the sports world.  In just a short time period he has helped Elmhurst attract strong athletes in all sports, not just football.

Nice article today in the Chicago Tribune Sports Section about the late Miami (OH) and Indiana Football Coach Terry Hoepner.  Those of you (me included) who have lost family members and/or had to battle cancer know just how devastating and emotionally draining this illness can be.  I sure would have liked to see him get IU into a bowl game.  They have been 1 win away 2 consecutive years now.  I recommend reading the stories on Terry.

Just noted the tag at the end of your posts.  I like the confidence, but I hope Augie proves you wrong. ;D  Can't wait for the season to start.

Roger Murdock: I'm sorry son, but you must have me confused with someone else. My name is Roger Murdock. I'm the co-pilot.
Joey: You are Kareem. I've seen you play. My dad's got season tickets.
Roger Murdock: I think you should go back to your seat now Joey. Right Clarence?
Captain Oveur: Nahhhhhh, he's not bothering anyone, let him stay here.
Roger Murdock: But just remember, my name is ROGER MURDOCK. I'm an airline pilot.
Joey: I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, you don't even run down court. And that you don't really try... except during the playoffs.
Roger Murdock: The hell I don't. LISTEN KID. I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I'm out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes.
