That must have been a dandy to watch.  This has been discussed in past years as well, however, a similar "weather bashed" game back about that time (actually late '70's) was the Wabash/Hope game played in a horrendous rainstorm and thunderstorm.  Game was delayed due to the latter for at least 45 minutes and at one point, the rain was so heavy, the weather dark/foggy, players couldn't see past 10 feet - very eerie....and, oh, the mud .  Anyway, for sure, those games are great memories.  If you guys go to the W/W scrimmage, I hope you have a great time.  Hopefully see you in Sept. at Wheaton.

NPU will be turning a lot of heads this year. They have a bunch of quilty players coming in to camp this year. I know a few of the guys and they are some pretty good players. In fact i could be suiting up in those new Viking uni's this fall . Middle Linebacker from College of Dupage Ramon Lacey 8). Just Watch #33 its looking like a good fit.

Yikes...yeah thats about all I got there.  It seemed like an unwritten rule that as a player you didn't post while you were playing, now I know that there are no rules or anything, but jeeze guy, save it for the field.  If I come to the NCC vs NPU game and see #33 get run over, I'm going to LMAO.

If you start: enjoy the plethera of returning offensive linemen at NCC, Auggie, and Wheaton for they will surely give you a warm reception to the CCIW.

I am all in favor of North Park getting stronger and competing well in this conference, however let's see them win a few games before the Vikings start "advertising" and getting people to look at them.
I think a reasonable goal for them is to accomplish winning 1-3 CCIW games this year.

First of all no one is pounding there chest abour anything. I said nothing on how i would play or even if i was going to NPU for sure. I never said anything out how NPU would play other then they should turn some heads. I think, no i know that you guys have blown my comment way out of proportion. Dude.  You are playing on the worst team in the CCIW.  And I'm not talking about this year.  I mean EVERY year.  You have absolutely no idea what you are getting yourself into.  You have absolutely no idea the level of competition.  You are completely ignorant in what you are commenting on...

But please, continue to post on this board.  At least you will give us something to laugh about.  You also might want to think about not using an email that has your last name and number attached to it.  It makes it easier for us to laugh at you when you fail.

About 8 years ago, I made the mistake of posting on this board when I was a player.  It was very, very dumb.  You are just starting college and have so many things to worry about .  What is said by washed up former players and fans should be of little concern to you.  Concentrate on your studies and on being a good player.  Don't let your ego get into your way.  You are not Terrell Owens.  You are not Chad Johnson.  You are not a big time D-I player.  You are a future Division III, STUDENT-ATHLETE...act like one.

washdupcard i would agree with your comment IF you had any idea what you are talking about. This isnt my first go round at this thing. I have played D2 football in the SIAC as well as football at the JR college level. I would still be D2 but i had some serious family issues to deal with at home. I would be going to NPU first and for most for an education not just for football. You are correct on one thing im not Chad Johnson or TO and if you ask any of the coaches i have ever played for they will tell you that im the complete opposite. Another thing, what does a D3 Student Athlete act like? I hope they would act the same as a D1 athlete because they all do the same things right! I normally wouldnt have even responded to this nonsense but i was attacked for stating my opinion. As for putting my name and number i do that because those are things that im proud of and things i will never hide. I guess you cant say the same. Now if anyone would like to ask me any questions before making these blank statements im open to just about anything.

WRONG... D3 do something different... pay $30K to play football and in my opinoin are true football players. Athletes that play the game because, hands down they love the game. They go to meetings, lift and condition all off-season, go to spring ball and for what? No NFL contracts, no scholarships to be kept, no game on TV... just bc they love to play the game of football. Most D3 football players will tell you they spent the money to play football, if it wasn't for the game they would go to a state school for an eighth of the price.

And to comment on NPU... come on... probably one of the worst 10 teams in all of D3, havent' won a conf game in something like 8 years, your bound to win a game just out of luck out of 48 or so games. Hopefully they will get lucky this year, just not against my Cards
