NPU will be turning a lot of heads this year. They have a bunch of quilty players coming in to camp this year. I know a few of the guys and they are some pretty good players. In fact i could be suiting up in those new Viking uni's this fall . Middle Linebacker from College of Dupage Ramon Lacey . Just Watch #33 its looking like a good fit.

This guy is a perfect fit for NPU!!! ;D

washdupcard i would agree with your comment IF you had any idea what you are talking about. This isnt my first go round at this thing. I have played D2 football in the SIAC as well as football at the JR college level. I would still be D2 but i had some serious family issues to deal with at home. I would be going to NPU first and for most for an education not just for football. You are correct on one thing im not Chad Johnson or TO and if you ask any of the coaches i have ever played for they will tell you that im the complete opposite. Another thing, what does a D3 Student Athlete act like? I hope they would act the same as a D1 athlete because they all do the same things right! I normally wouldnt have even responded to this nonsense but i was attacked for stating my opinion. As for putting my name and number i do that because those are things that im proud of and things i will never hide. I guess you cant say the same. Now if anyone would like to ask me any questions before making these blank statements im open to just about anything.

Well...I guess I have no idea what I'm talking about.  I mean its not like I'm a former D-III athlete, or a former player, or a former player who used to post on this board, or a person who continues to follow D-III athletics, or a person who has succeeded outside of the realm of football.  But go ahead.  Keep talking.  Tell us how good you are going to be.  Tell me I have no idea what I'm talking about even though I've been there.  You know everything.  I mean you played D-II football...but had to quit for personal reasons.  Oh and you played Juco football.  Impressive.  I think North Central and the other teams are going to just kneel every offensive possession so as to avoid your greatness.

Oh and to answer your question... a D-III athlete does the OPPOSITE of what you are doing right now.  He or she handles themselves with grace and humility.  They play for love of the game.  They don't go around telling everyone how great they are before they've even put on the Fricken uniform.   But what do I know.

Hey guys

Just wondering if any Millikin fans post in here.  I typically stick to my OAC page and occasionally poke at the nerds on the NCAC board (kidding) so I don't exactly lurk here or on the other North Region boards so I don't know if anyone supports Millikin.  I was at ONU the last time the Polar Bears and Big Blue played in the playoffs and look forward to them coming to town for the start of the season.

If anyone has any info on the 07 Big Blue I'd appreciate it.

RC,

not many Big Blue fans in here these days. they are picked to be a middle of the pack team. I wouldn't expect much from Millikin. they lost a great running back and several members of a decent defense. Niehbur is a good coach, just don't think he has much firepower.

Mr. Ypsi

For all the years I've been around, Millikin has been the least represented school in both football and basketball.  There are a couple of occasional posters (and one Lori Kerans 'hater' on the bball board lately - she's the wildly successful women's bball coach, but off to a not-so-successful run as AD), but we sometimes go months without hearing news from Decatur.

Until 4-5 years ago, CCIW football was annually the big 4, little 4 (with Augie, Wheaton, IWU, and Millikin annually in the top half), but the Green and the Blue have fallen on hard times and that predictable alignment has definitely gone bye-bye.

washdupcard you have taken everything that i have said and put your sick twisted spin on it and now all i can do is laugh at you. For one i NEVER said anything about my ability to play football NEVER. Also when i said that you had no idea what you were talking about i was talking about the comments you made.I just dont know why you couldnt understand that. Everything you said has made lots of sense you just went about the whole "situation" the wrong way. I really dont think that you wanted to understand what i type. You just saw an opportunity to cause some conflict and that is what you did. Oh well what can you do about other peoples ignorance. Now IF i was on here posting that i am the best MLB in college football, I would agree with everything you posted.  But since i didnt i just dont know where you get of trying to attack me. Oh well

Was that the middle linebacker that had so many people laughing when Millikin and ONU played in the playoffs?  I was trying to remember that guy's name for a while now.

I know of a freshman once that walked on to the field the first day and told the All-Conference starter at his position that he would have his job by the 5th game.  The kid left before the end of camp!   ;)

He was a Middle linebacker at Millikin.  I don't know anything about the ONU playoff game, but he had some great quotes in here!   :D
