Carthage has a great fan atmosphere to be sure.  They used to bring couches onto the grass hill that is behind the opponents sidline area and they were awesome fans.  As a visiting player I liked when there was a strong crowd despite which side they were cheering for.  You gotta love playing in front of a crowd.

They were usually to hammered to notice there was a game going on actually.

It was the only way we could keep the warm in the 90s! A few nips of Jack helped get you through the games... and Carthage was horrible when I attended, but the games were still well attended.

washdupcard you have taken everything that i have said and put your sick twisted spin on it and now all i can do is laugh at you. For one i NEVER said anything about my ability to play football NEVER. Also when i said that you had no idea what you were talking about i was talking about the comments you made.I just dont know why you couldnt understand that. Everything you said has made lots of sense you just went about the whole "situation" the wrong way. I really dont think that you wanted to understand what i type. 79Bluejay, Any word on a scrimmage for Elmhurst this year. I havn't heard anything.

A Couple of pages ago there was talk of 3 sport athletes. My sons High School Footbal coach is in Elmhurst's Hall of Fame and he played in 3 sports in the early 70's. I think it was football, Baseball and golf but I don't know about any all-conference honors in any of them. Watching my son do one sport and keep up with his grades is hard enough let alone 2 or 3 sports.

Another exciting happening this summer... The plans are for a new scoreboard to be unveiled on Saturday night, October 13th, when we play Augustana.  This scoreboard is special and includes a 12'x21' high definition video replay screen.  This is just another example of what is happening here in this program.

Cool... now CCIW players can look up at the "semi-jumbo tron" to see a reply of themselves...
