Augie loses 24-8 at BW.

Wheaton definitely playing like it is their first game... not real sharp.  Plus they look a little gassed.  Lot's of hands on the hips.

They will need to improve significantly if they want the CCIW championship.

Well Albion has played a game allready, and its the first game. Albion isn't a bad football team and responded in the second half but it looks like Wheaton is gunna pull this out.

I agree. its the first game. lots to learn from and some injuries. Wheaton will be fine.  special teams have been awesome. other dlineman have dominated LOS. Albion has Ham and Egged its way to 10 pts

usee,

Very good way of describing it... "Ham & Egg" plays.  Just some weird, near sack, broke play, underthrown passes resulting in a few drives in the 3rd quarter for Albion.

I guess I need to remember that Albion had 33 yards on 27 plays in the 1st half.  That is dominance by Wheaton.  Still much to improve on...

I don't think WashU can hang with Wheaton,  I believe Albion might be a better team

Albion clearly has some talented players.  I believe they are better than they were last year.

ugh.

I'm not surprised by the scores against the OAC for Millikin and Auggie.

IWU played crisp D againt Olivet after, Olivet gave up another turnover and IWU has the ball closing minutes.

NCC_alum62

Fanthorpe and Kniss both moving the ball well for the cardinals so far this game 10:55 left in third NCC 14-0.

The NCC broadcast is the same on the radio very scratchy.

They've apologized a couple times for technical difficulties

NCC_alum62

Sulo running hard has almost 100 yards so far and a TD

Mr. Ypsi

Final: IWU 20, Olivet 9.

For the second week in a row, the defense was excellent - Olivet, like Coe, could muster only 11 first downs, and never seriously threatened in the second half.

Our defense makes us a threat in EVERY gme this season; alas, special teams may also blow any game.  It's gonna be interesting!

NCC_alum62

The announcers for CUW saying the Cardinals haven't done anything to impress them in thier top 25 ranking...um first game against a wing-t team and we're up 14-0...

Falcons killing themselves with sacks, fumbling, and penalties.

Well that screws up my whole pick 'ems for this week  ;D ;D j/k

Congrats to IWU on beating what many consider a very solid team that should compete in the MIAC.

Anyone know how many rushing yards Auggie put up?
