Close, Pat. I can blame it on my 7-year-old and 4-year-old nephews. ;)

Usee, yes you can take that as support. support for your right to have your own opinin. I don't want you in any way to cofuse that with the fact that I think you are completely nuts for viewing the non-conference portion of the schedule as pre-season. I just wanted to clarify that. ;D ;D ;D

for those interested, Kam Kniss made the cover of the D2/D3 record books for 2007...it can be seen by clicking on NCAA stats on D3football homepage  and going to the records books for D2/D3

How is it possible that Bob Meyer didn't play in the NFL?  ::)

What did happen to Bob Meyer?  I know a lot of guys end up playing for the Chicago Thunder in the west suburbs of Chicago trying to make it to the next level.  However, I'm not sure if Bob was ever part of that crew.

Sorry, not the right team.  But, I think I think it is a team in the Chicagoland Football League.

I just had to post on the pre-season debate because there just can't be a meanigless debate that no side can ever win that I havn't been involved in. I think Usee can call the non-conference portion of the schedule anything he wants to call it.

USee is pretty spectacular, and as long as he doesn't start calling "the non-conference portion" of the schedule the "conference portion" of the schedule, I see no problem with your statement.

Rumors afoot that Benedictine has a couple of ringers coming in for the North Central game. I don't want to give too much away, but their last names are Ditka and Brasky.

Ditka is playing??  it is over..as long as they don't enter Neal Anderson, the cardinals should romp.

Quote from: CardinalAlum on September 10, 2007, 10:12:27 PMJeff Query was a man among boys in the speed department!

For awhile in the early '90s Query was used as much or more as a punt returner by the Packers than as a wide receiver. And you don't run back punts in the NFL unless you have some serious wheels.

If you check the historical record that is CCIW.org, you'll see that Mr. Query was indeed a burner.  Jeff was the CCIW 100 Meter dash champ in '86, was the CCIW 100 and 200 meter champ in '87, and '88, and was named outstanding performer in the 1987 CCIW Track and Field championship.

I'm planning to check past top 25 polls later this week.  Not sure about the conference record, but we do tie OAC and WIAC as the only conferences with 5 currently.

We've been discussing this a bit on top 25 in the 'general football' board.

BTW, alert to all:  FormerCard has now reach the 'applaud'/'smite' level - be careful out there! :o  And, FC, remember to use your new powers for good, not evil! :P
