Only belmish is 2 fumbles by Wheaton leading to a short field and WashU's only score.

-16 yards rushing for WashU., 99 passing.  Another great 1st half for the Wheaton D.  That's an average of 58 yards in the first half over the past 2 weeks.  Nice.

So much for the question if Wheaton has a weakness at the other CB opposite Ittersagen.  I'd say Tyler Langs has more than answered that question thus far.  He really seems to have a nose for the ball.

Ugh... Wheaton's audio feed is dropping every 5 minutes or so.

4 starters not playing for this game for Wheaton - McKinney McKenney, Pagh on defense, and Rowson on offense.

Ullrich taken out early in the 3rd quarter, but I believe it is because the game is 38-7 and he has been sacked 3 times in the quarter.  If Wheaton's o-line is not going to protect Ullrich in the 2nd half, no sense in getting him hurt in a blow out game.

Ut oh... Zach Ullrich being taken away in an ambulance on the sidelines?!?? :o  Perhaps he received some sorta internal injury on one of the sacks?  He left the field under his own power.

My senior year I was taken in an ambulance due to broken ribs as a precaution to make sure there weren't any other internal injuries.

Anyone know if the Redmen are having a pregame out here in SoCal tonight?  Tailgater?
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

Hard to take anything away from the 2nd half... game delayed for over 30 minutes while Ullrich being taken to the hospital, mostily subs playing for Wheaton and sloppy play.

That said... Wheaton has not shown much of a running attack at all as they are averaging right around 2 yards per carry and they have 3 fumbles.  If Ullrich is out for any period of time, it could spell significant trouble for Wheaton.

Mt St Joseph scores to take their first lead of the game, but misses the two-point conversion.

48-14 Wheaton... all reserves playing at this point.

Final: 55-14 Wheaton

Almost every Wheaton player in uniform plays.

Running game still needs work.  Starting unit on defense was very solid, despite missing 3 starters.

Key question is how is Ullrich?

Looks like the Titan defense might keep them in every game, which makes them quite dangerous and potentially much better in the CCIW picture than most of us predicted.

Thanks for the updates Mugsy. If Ullrich is out the Thunder are not a championship team. missing 2 or 3 Olinemen is painful (for Ullrich). Rowson will be back, Christner should be back.

The running game is a big concern. 35 carries for 56 yds in the 3rd quarter? that's bad against WashU. Should be part of the OLine problems and get better when Rowson and Christener return.

Wheaton's season rests on the health of Ullrich

Christner played some today in the 2nd half, so the Oline should be back to full strength next week.  Hershey looked good in the 2nd half, but I'm not sure it was against the 1st team defense.

The running game has been a concern of mine, especially if Ullrich is out, which I've gotta believe he will be for at least a short time (minimum a week).  You don't get taken to the hospital in the middle of a game for nothing.  It must have been some internal injury or fear of internal injury, otherwise you aren't in any rush for medical attention.  Hopefully it is just bruised ribs or something minor like that...
