Hey Hope and MIAA fans.  I know that David Booko has not played in the first 2 games due to suspension, is he expected back this week vs. the Thunder?
matblake:
Yes, Booko's suspension was for the first two games; he was to be eligible to play for the Wheaton game.  No having checked the with anyone and/or the Hope and MIAA website yet, and I have not heard anything to the contrary, but assuming he is healthy, he should be ready to go for the game.  Not sure if he is starting, but since he is a Sr. and Captain, I would suspect so, even though his back-up did a great job in the last game.

Sorry if this was noted already, but is Ullrich back in Wheaton?  If not, when is he expected to return home?

Yes, Zach has been back in Wheaton for a couple of days now.

Also, what other CCIW teams offer webcasting?

The North Central Wash U. game can be found at www.wonc.org.  Just click on "listen live."   The students ususally do a pretty decent job, if i may say so myself.  :)

Honestly, how do I lose karma from a post like this?
I am a NATIONAL Champion, and I refuse to lose!

Check out today's Daily Dose.  In teams that you will know after this weekend, Pat Coleman takes Elmhurst.

hey all I have a question. Someone on the MIAA board someone had a question on playing j.v games and varsity games in the same week. Are there any conference rules or d3 rules as to games a year or quarters a week. Most of our j.v games are really more like schrimmages than actual games

how many times can I use the word someone? :-[ :-[

Most of the games I follow are on the Radio....wonc does better with offense than with defense-- for the most part-- you have to see if you can hear the announcer for the field in the background....then maybe you will know WHO got the tackle!    They rarely mention who is on the field for the DEFENSE???  A minor point when they do a great job with the O and Special Teams....and really discuss a wide range of other games too!   Adding my PRAYERS for Ullrich and esp. his parents....all parents pray alot during the games and may they all be blessed with no more injuries!!
D3 Rocks!

Thanks.  I know the games are almost all available via (internet) radio, but I only know a few programs that offer webcasting (watching live).  I've watched a few games over the net - they are a little slow, but for the most part you can follow the game.

And then some +K for you and for Comet

I've never recovered from the Kevin Burris debate.  Although I must say that it doesn't make sense - that topic sparked some healthy debate, focused on CCIW football and covered almost 10 years of 1st All-CCIW RBs.  Plus, I did fairly extensive statistical research to support my point.  Isn't that worth some K?  Is there any way to know who is +/- your K?

The nice thing is that Hope doesn't look very good this year.

Although at 0-2, Let's not count out Hope just yet.  Their 2 losses are to some respectable competition.  UW-River Falls pretty much controlled the game vs. Hope and the following week played St. Johns tough.  Hope had a lead vs. Central before the Iowa Dutch came back in the second half, Central is currently 3-0.  Add in the fact that I believe that David Booko, a pretty decent running back, is set to return from a suspension this week (I'm checking the MIAA board for confirmation).  Also Rugenstein is an excellent DE and could spell trouble for a QB getting a large portion of action for the first time since high school.

Like last year Hope started out 0-3 non-conference before going 7-0 to win the MIAA. So true enough, don't over look them. They play a respectable non-conference schedule and certainly will be prepared for Wheaton. I still think Wheaton will hand Hope their second 0-3 start in a row.
