One of the NPU blockers on the field goal unit was lucky to remain in the game after he lowered his shoulder into Wheaton defenseless holder.

Listening to Swider on the pregame show:

Sean Norris has a sprained MCL and will NOT play this week and possibly next. The injury bug strikes again. Swider says "we are not a healthy team right now, not even close....3 of our 5 top defensive linemen didn't play last week and won't play tonight"

Kyle Bradley to play and go the whole way tonight.

Hmm... I heard Norris was out because he played in a JV game earlier in the year and had to sit out a varsity game in order to be eligible to play the last game of the year.

If your gonna sit a game, might was well be against North Park.  Obviously I don't know the validity of this as it was merely a rumor floating around amongst the parents in the stands.

This is a 1:30pm start.

0-0 after the first.

hmmm. 0-0 with no stats at 12.57pm of a 1.30pm start? interesting. ;D :o 8)

Sorry about that - my bad.  I took a quick glance and it said 0-0, but the game hadn't started yet.  Despite this, it ended up being 0-0 after the first.

Redman04 and Tailgater, congrats on the W.  That was a much needed victory.  It will be interesting to see what happens over the next three CCIW games.

What's the download on the game?

You are correct Mugsy, Sean Norris did play in a JV game so that is part of the reason why he did not play tonight.  But Coach Swider did say that he suffered an MCL sprain last week in the last offensive drive against Augustana and he may miss more time than this one game.

That is probably most of the reason why Kyle Bradley played the entire game tonight against North Park, to get him more game experience if he needs to start next week for the Thunder.

An MCL sprain also makes Norris questionable in the punting game, even if he can return to quarterbacking.  The freshman Matthew Griffiths showed that he can punt pretty well tonight against North Park.  But it still is another question mark for the Thunder heading into the rest of the CCIW season.

Overall, a solid and predictable victory by the Thunder over North Park tonight.

Swider actually said he injured it before the TD pass he made to win the game. If he had an MCL sprain he wasn't playing regardless of any JV game.

Maybe he played the whole game because there was no one else? who is next after Bradley?

Griffiths had one punt for 3 yds. You can't have that against top CCIW teams. He did have a few other nice punts.

Mr. Ypsi

A sweep for the home teams today - first time this season.  IMO November 10th would be an excellent time to do it again! ;D
