Being a junior, Ceisel will likely overtake Emerson barring some sort of injury.  Brady most likely is too far away.

That Bisaillon number is outstanding.  According to the IWU Receiving Records he had 7 fewer receptions than White and beat him by 368 yards.  I only saw him play once in 92.  Amazing player.

It would be nice to see some more trophies in the CCIW. ie...Big Ten, Little brown Jug, Paul Bunyon's axe, Ect... The only one is the Little brass bell,  Carthage and Carroll (them being a former CCIW Team) play for the Old Musket.

I think that would a great idea. I always enjoyed playing Carroll College for the Musket. It always gave you that extra edge because you didn't want to be the year responsible for losing the trophy.

RE:  more traveling trophies... We touched base on this during one of our broadcasts a few years ago.
Elmhurst vs. North Central- "The Bird Bowl"  This was my idea to have a crystal bowl in the shape of a bird bath with 1 blue bird on 1 perch and 1 red bird on the other perch.

Millikin vs. IWU  The "Route 51 Battle" or the "Corn Bowl".  Don't know how you would design a trophy for this one.

There was a stretch a few years back where during down time (or where a commercial would be if we had commercials) when my color guy and I talked about this.

New trophy game:  Augustana v North Park.  Viking Bowl.  Get one of those Vikings helmets with horns.

Just steal one of the signs with Route 51 on it.   8)

I wish better weather was forecasted in Rock Island. This forecast reminds me of the weather during 2005, 20-17 last second field goal game. I hope this outcome is better!!!

GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this the trophy where the blue bird keeps trying to get to the top half of the perch, but doesn't quite get there?   :P :o :D  Sorry, couldn't resist!

Weather reports for tomorrow:

Wheaton v Elmhurst
IWU v North Park
North Central v Augustana
Carthage v Millikin

Thanks, matblake!! That was very nice and thoughtful of you!! :)

No problem.  I actually feel kind of bad, since last year I did it for every conference game and I just now realized that I hadn't continued that tradition.  Doesn't speak well for my memory...  ???

http://www.pantagraph.com/articles/2007/10/26/sports/doc472299d6932b6721995389.txt

....IWU coach Norm Eash termed the Vikings "probably the most improved North Park team I've seen in many, many years."

I think/thought so too, but they still can't win a game in the CCIW.

According to the article, IWU has won the 26 out of the last 27 matches and 21 in a row.

The table is set for an upset.  Highly unlikely, but lets see if the Vikings can put up a fight against the Titans.

I know Wisconsin and Minnesota play for Paul Bunyan's Axe, but apparently Michigan and Michigan State also play for Paul Bunyan memorabilis including the Paul Bunyan Governor of Michigan Trophy.
