WR Chris Durr has garnered 1st team attention as NPU's last 3 opponents have double and triple covered him for most of not all of the game,

Hmmmm.....I have a hard time believing that Augie, Wesleyan and Wheaton doubled, let alone triple teamed a receiver for most of the game.   ???

And Mugsy, if Wheaton doesn't take care of business this weekend, please don't be making excuses about losing because of all the injuries they had this year!

WOWWWWWW!!!!  Where's the respect for the old guy?  Wags, having a bad day?

If Case falters against Ohio Weslyan this weekend and Wheaton wins, wheaton is a #3 seed. Interesting they kept wheaton ahead of Franklin setting up a home game for the Thunder against Franklin in round 1. Also NCC/Carthage are behind 3 pool C teams: MSJ, Cap, Witt. Bad news for them.

If Case falters against Thomas Moore this weekend

How possible is this?  I would think a 2 loss NCC/Carthage team would be stronger than a 1 loss Case team?

not unprecedented but not likely either. Case has a pathetic SOS so who knows.

I should add its also not likely because Case plays Ohio Wesleyan, not Thomas More!  ::) oops.

OWU lost a close game to wittenberg and lost to wabash 15-0. So they are no slouch. MSJ plays Thomas More. its unlikely MSJ will lose that game but a case loss is a decent possibility. Game is at CWRU.

THere is some great stuff on the Pool C board for those interested in postseason (Carthage and NCC fans + Mr Ypsi). THe latest analysis says pool C could end up somewhere between 1 one loss team not making the playoffs and 6 two loss teams making it.

I would also agree with the thought that NCC as a 2 loss team is stronger than Carthage as a 2 loss because of the SOS numbers.

I don't know if I am missing something, or what. But, how do you get to the pool c board?  Thanks!

Umm... when have I made excuses?  Where did that comment come from?

I believe when Wheaton has lost in the past, I have been (reasonably) unbiased and have given proper recognition to the winning team.  Did I not post several times this past week that Carthage played better than Wheaton and deserved to win?  Did I use injuries as an excuse for Wheaton's loss to Carthage?

No question of where my affilations rest, but I am a D3 football fan and have enough respect and appreciation for the game to recognize when a team that isn't the one I root for deserves recognition.

Wags, I'm not sure where you are coming from on this one.

Wags,

Don't you have a defensive gameplan to prepare? does Norm know you are moonlighting on here? He must be so proud.

Is it respectful to accuse someone of something before he has even done it?
