Flinging a salacious insult at Redmen96's alma mater sounds to me like someone's itching to get his "Get Out Of Karma Jail Free" card revoked.  ;)  :D

Mr. Sager, you are a legend.

Redman96 - all in fun.  I need all the help I can get.  Somebody out there has a vendetta against me greater than Hugo Weaving in V is Vendetta.

I don't mind joking around.  Changing your name is still a big follow through.  Besides we had plenty of Lady Reds to keep us warm.  Unlike the Wheaties where the room door had to be open and feet on the floor.  Either they were real strict or exhibitionists.
We will always be REDMEN

Finally, NCC comes out of the dark ages in terms of indoor athletic facilities!!  Should help out recruiting as the old airplane hangar is a bit behind the times!!

This bet is already paying dividends (laughs obviously)! I knew that name would cause some serious mind numbing banter on this board!

+K My Son!

Reidy---I see that your love for basketball is still as strong as ever!

Now for some xmas fun!
In the early 20th century, the advertising logo of Nehi was a picture of a seated woman's legs, in which the skirt was high enough to show the stockings up to the knee, suggesting the phrase "knee-high". This was referenced in Jean Shepherd's story, "My Old Man and the Lascivious Special Award That Heralded the Birth of Pop Art", as well as in his film, "A Christmas Story."
In A Christmas Story,  the Old Man' wins a "major award" (thanks to his wife supplying the winning answer of the name of The Lone Ranger's nephew's horse) a lamp shaped like a woman's leg wearing fishnet stockings
The leg was the logo of the contest's sponsor, the Nehi bottling company, this was not made clear in the movie.

HEY NORM, I LOST YOUR HAT! GO REDMEN!!!

For those WIAC posters bemoaning why CCIW teams won't schedule WIAC teams, Wheaton has updated it's future schedules on the Wheaton website.

Wheaton will play UW-Platteville in 2010 and 2011.  Their other 2 non-conference opponents for those seasons have not be set yet (or at least posted).

As pointed out by usee and myself, Wheaton's 2008 and 2009 non-conference slate should be quite challenging.  3 recent playoff teams - Bethel (semi-finals this year), Concordia (Wis.) and Hope.
Wheaton Football: CCIW Champs: 1950, 1953-1959, 1995, 2000, 2002-2004, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2019

I for one am really looking forward to see the Bethel/Wheaton matchup.  It will be interesting to see how 2 of the top programs from the MIAC and the CCIW match up.  Anyone know offhand, is the most recent matchup of the CCIW v MIAC when Wheaton played Gustavus Adolphus in 2005?

I believe so, NCC played Augsburg in 2005 as well.

Thanks to Li'l Giant over on the NCAC board for this one.  Apparently Wheaton alum Neal Neathery is headed with former Wabash Coach Creighton to Drake

A belated Merry Christmas to all and a happy, HEALTHY new year, also!!

If you want to promote division 3 sports, do a google search for pontiac game changing performance and vote for the only d3 play that will likely be seen there for a long time.  We only have a few days left and Appalachain State is currently in the lead.

A vote for Trinity is a vote for d3football.

EXCELLENT reference!  I just watched that movie this morning.  So great!  If I could help get you out of your karma hole, I would.
