I can't say how awesome it feels to see a Wheaton/CCIW player drafted in the 6th round.  Congrats to Andrew Studebaker.

I hope this is just the start of a successful NFL career.  All the best!

And his info: http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=15402

Please note that the Eagles selected a most appropriate picture of Mr. Studebaker, a picture to be duplicated by current and future Wheaton players for years to come.

dang how bad is a sprained ankle if you miss half a season, playoffs, all-star games, and combines.  sounds more like his foot was severed!!

Yeah, it was curious that they said sprained.  He tore a ligament I believe.  I heard it was the same type of injury the Colt's Dwight Freeney suffered.

Yup... it was a torn Lisfranc ligament.  Much more severe than "just a sprained ankle."

Probably more info then we would ever want to know....but it sounds like a pretty serious injury and glad Andy came out OK.

It is interesting to read about what the scouts are saying about Studebaker:

Rd. 6/203: Andy Studebaker, DE, Wheaton

"I really liked this kid. He's got a chance to be a better pass-rusher than the McNeese kid. Again, on the tape you're watching him play against inferior competition. But he dominated. He was a man among boys. Has good strength. He's wiry. Real good speed. Has a passion for the game. It's important to him. Very smart. We actually had him with a fifth-round grade.''
