Chris Durr(1st Team WR, so.) and Kelvyn West (2nd Team RB, so) are not listed on NPU's football roster anymore.

I thought Durr was pretty good and worked our secondary pretty hard.  West seemed big and durable, if not a little slow.  Hopefully you have some others to take over for them.

I hope so as well.  I have heard very little about incoming players.

Help---Information please

I usually post on the CCIW basketball board, and am not as familiar with the various conference football operations.

I see that NCC lists 73 2008 football recruits on its web site. This seems like a huge number to me. Do most CCIW schools (or D3 schools if anyone knows the national story) have this high a number of football recruits?? Thanks to all.

I saw that also, but believe it is there entire roster.  There are athletes of every age group listed.

Nope, those are just incoming freshmen and a few transfers.

I also understand Len Vandenboss defected to wheaton's staff (previously npu db coach). He has coached at wheaton and NCC previously.

True.  That will hurt a bit as he is a very solid DB coach who teaches very sound technique.  Not to say the replacement coach won't do the same, but at the D3 level it is not a guarantee.

Durr will definitely be missed although there are rumors he is getting his academics in order and is trying to return this fall.  The RB position should be handled very well by Sr. Jacob Mueller and So. Rakim Jones.  Both very talented backs. 

The main question mark again will be how well the oline can hold up and if they can be physical enough to compete in the CCIW.  I know all 5 starters return from that unit but they will have to stay healthy and improve greatly.

Mugsy, since I can't recall that you have used the "Green Weenie" slur, I will avoid 'Wheaties' in the future (though I can't promise perfect compliance when a straight line is irresistable, or immediately before [or during] a Wheaton/IWU contest ).

No word(s) as of yet.  I am surprised that EC is waiting this long to name somebody, even if it were to be an Interim coach.  The longer they wait.. I just feel that that is going to be detrimental to the team.  Name a coach, start planning, and get with it, otherwise the Jays will fall behind.
