New regional rankings out.  As expected North Central stays put at #2 and Wheaton drops out.  Of interest, Augie enters the fray at #9 and emphasizes just how important the Augie/NCC game is regarding regional ranking.  The question is how many teams might Augie jump in the regional rankings if they were to beat NCC and how far must they jump over the next 2 weeks in order to get the nod for Pool C?

QB  Fanthorpe NC  Ladd?  (I would give him some votes)

Gosh, there are quite a few players that could be inserted into an All-Conference slot.

I was looking through the cciw game notes for the week and I would not be surprised at all if Wright is the CCIW DPOY or at least the co... leads the conference in Tackles, Sacks, and TFL. That is VERY impressive.

Take a look at who is tied for the conference lead in sacks AND interceptions and is second in tackles and 3rd in TFL and you see that Wenger and ONLY Wenger is clearly the DPOY!

I am not dismissing him....completely, he has definitely had a great year, BUT Wenger does it all and is the best defensive player in the league this year.  It is not biased.  I call them as I see them(most of the time).

I think there should be no question that ittersagen is a first team all CCIW and first team all american. I would be very sruprised if he didn't win both those awards easily. I do not think he will be DPOY. I think Wenger has that wrapped up. I also don't think Wright is a close second. I think Randy Wright is a great talent but he isn't quite where Wenger is physically. Wenger is stronger and can take on blockers where Randy still gets tied up inside in the running game. They are both very fast and athletic and have great instincts for the ball. Wenger is on a different level right now IMO.

How are the regional rankings done? Do the same peple who give the pool c bids make them and do they use the same criteria?
