Oh my... I'm as shocked as when the Wheaton Men's BB team made it last year.  Hopefully the Wheaton football team will have the same success and validate their selection.

I was obviously pessimistic with Wheaton's chance of a Pool C bid since they've been in this position before and have not received the nod from the committee.  All of those upsets yesterday and Wheaton's strong showing the past 2 weeks made the difference.  I can just hear Swider's mantra the last 2 weeks, pounding it into his players...

"It ain't over men... if we take care of our business and win handily, you never know what can happen."

While I still have time to dream......I am thinking Wheaton gets a surprise pool C bid. Is #7 north and goes to Trine in round 1. Then, if they win, they go to the CWRU/Franklin winner and then get a rematch in naperville (no bell unfortunately) to go to the regional final.

How cool would that be?

Naw, I missed on the CWRU game. They play Wabash! I have to shake the rust off my crystal ball.

It's great to see Wheaton get in and see that the committee thinks enough of the CCIW to get us two teams even with the Thunder having two losses.  Would love to see a remtach in the final of the North region!  Let's both take care of first round business.  Who knows anything about Thomas More?

Wow, Wheaton gets in so congrats to both teams.  Really what this also means is that Elmhurst was 1 win (either NC or IWU) away from getting into the playoffs.  Had Elmhurst beat either one, they would have been identical to Wheaton, and probably would have been sent due to head-to-head battles.  Great for Wheaton and great for Elmhurst to see and know that the Bluejays program has climbed the ladder.
