Usee, does this mean you will be referring to the cardinals by the nicknames you have given them from here on out??

If it gets to "game week" you can count on it.  ;D

Agreed.  At this point I'm pulling for anything CCIW, even NCC.  If we get to the 3rd round, then things will be different (hopefully on the scoreboard as well).

Way too much needs to happen before we can even think 3rd round though...

Oh boy, in the midst of all the positive CCIW talk, you had to bring up Ittersagen and his ability as a DB...  Blitz Creed will be on in minutes to talk about how "obsolete" he is...   ::) ;D

Pat Coleman asked Swider about NCC and he said

-They have no weaknesses
-Their MLB is a great player and imposes his will on opponents
-Very well coached
-A great quaterback
-many playmakers

all compliments for NCC

Class act as always..  great to have 2 teams in the playoffs, absolutely great.

Holy Smokes...this is great!  Nice job Wheaton, and thanks to the committee for all their wisdom!

So I am working like a dog on writing soccer stories (second round matches all day today) and vowed I wouldn't look at the football announcements until I finished - good motivator, right?  Well, I sure didn't expect to see this when I did finish.  This is almost more of a surprise than last year's basketball bid.

USee, I really did laugh out loud at your response back a few pages...even though I didn't want to ;).

I am pretty surprised they made NCC a #4 seed among the top seeds. that is, the winner of the North goes to Alliance in the semis. I would have thought the North would be seeded as #2 or #3.

Here's where the $ comes into play.  It's a pretty safe bet that MUC wins the East (since they've made at least the semi's every year since 1995).  So by pairing up the North and East, the NCAA is almost 100% sure this semi-final will not require a plane flight.  Almost all of the west and the best of the south require a plane flight regardless of the matchup, so this N/E and S/W pairing will save money.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

That makes sense, espeically since NCC was not the "top seed" on the table in the North Region.

congrats to Wheaton for getting into the playoffs!  Surprising but deserved!
CARDINAL PRIDE STARTS WITH ME!

Congratulations to all teams in the CCIW for stepping up and playing solid football.  No way Wheaton gets in if all of the programs were not playing well outside the conference and playing tough throughtout the season.  Good luck Wheaton and NCC.
