M-Cat,

IMO....keys to a 'Cats win is protect T.S. and limit PLU's big plays.....

Quote(509)Rat.... The Wildcats take it one game at a time. But, as I chew on the Rats 17 Interceptions, I couldn't help but notice that 5 of them were against the 0-5 Pio's in a 70-3 drubbing.... 70 points?
Qb season stats.....

Joel Clark, Whitworth, 6-games, 84 c-130 att -(5 Int's),  9 Td's 1247 yards, 207.8 a game.

Trevor Scharer, Linfield, 5-games( really only 3) 78 c-116 att -2 Int   11 Td's 1117 yards, 223.5 a game.
Interesting!!!
                                            ONE GAME AT A TIME!

                                                     BELIEVE!

Exactly why I can't wait until his game, should be the best RAT v. Cat matchup to date.  No one on whitworth's team is looking past menlo and especially not willamette, but who says we as fans can't?  As long as Whitworth plays good games against both of those two teams they should win.

Oh yeah, don't forget that whitworth also had 4 picks against a PLU team at sparks that you cat fans are worried about.

Thanks Abby; The Pep Band sounded great!

I too would like to thank Abby. THANK YOU ABBY!  ;D
At the end of the game Mrs Tux and I went down to say how much we enjoyed the band. From the National anthem to the final song, I felt it added to the over all Football experience. ( for me anyway) Plus gave some extra noise when we needed it.

Is it me, or is the Catdome crowd more passive than in years passed? I'm still horse today, probably  the age thing.   ;)

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

cawcdad, thanks for posting those pic's. Made for a nice little trip down memory lane. Wish we had those gold pants in my day, though. We were sporting the gold helmets with yellow stripes on the jerseys and pants for about 8 years there. :-[

You are quite welcome d-train. I have had a lot of fun shooting games this year. PLU looks like a team gaining confidence.

that doesn't have much to do with my post but thats ok (the rats anemic O against PLU has nothing to do with the linfield O vs. whitworth D matchup I was eluding to).  But just because whitworth's offense couldn't put up points, they dominated the game offensivly and defensively.  And from what I've heard Linfield hasn't had much of a problem scoring as of late.  Maybe it will be a close game, but if I were a betting man I wouldn't put money on it.

We are lucky to keep finding excellent QBs.

9 different receivers caught a ball against Willamette, now 10 against SOU. Talk about spreading the rock around. I have no idea who the go-to guy is in the WR core and I'm fine with that. We'll do it by committee this season.

Looking forward to Rivalry Week
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

TuxGuy,

I  would not say the  crowd was more passive but  you have to remember it was a night game and all of old people up top were yarning cause it was past bedtime.

I am glad I had a few Longies or I wold have been sleeping.  Doris Sybouts always manages to keep me awake though.  Great Lady or should I say ladies since her daughter always comes with her.

I also had the opportunity to meet the Superindentant of the Mill City school district.  I had a little hack and cough so his special cough elixir helped to relax me.  Had nothing left to yell with.

If you and Mrs Tux are wanting to go to PLU it looks like Mrs Topcat and I may have a couple of empty seats but won't know for sure until Thursday PM.  The two of you are certaihly welcome to go with us, gas on me (don't get funny now)

This is my first time travelling to PLU. Should I stay somewhere away from Parkland and Puyallup?

R&P Nice to see you again this weekend and looking forward to PLU - As we discussed we will get you started south after the game, but it is up to  you from there.  If you are coming into and going out of SeaTac, there are some pretty nice places in Tukwila just east of I-5  such as an embassy suites, Hampton, Courtyard, DoubleTree, etc.  If you stay at Tukwila, you can just get back on the freeway and instead of taking I-5 just head right on past I-5 to Seatac.a

Mrs Topcat and I always stay at Tukwila when we are  up visiting the kid that works for Big Bad Bill.  Just do a Expedia, Orbitz, Sidestep, etc, for Tukwila and I am sure you will find some decent places to rest the head.

If you want more info, let me know.

Thanks topcat1. Looks like I'll be staying in Tacoma (Fife). Only 17 minutes from the stadium.
I'll look you up before the game.

Excuse me for infiltrating your board,

I am Saxon 73, who graduated from Alfred University in New Yok State (nowhere near New York City) and I just wanted to personaly thank the Linfield community for their expression of concern and empathy for our injured player Julio Fuentes.  He has regained feeling in his arms and legs to some extent, so that is an improvement.

Your expression of concerm resonates throughout upstate New York and the various small colleges in the NorthEast.

So I want to thank you for your adult, mature and humanistic feelings.

I would like to establish a dialouge with someone to enhance the D3 communications so MT Union doesn't win so much.

I'd like to have a team out west I can root for.

I did live in L.A. from 1973 - 1976 but then returned to UPSTATE NY

Best  wishes,

Saxon 73

Topcat,

Glad to hear you have a couple of extra seats for the Lute game...If Tux doesn't take you up on the offer, I'll be glad to accept (especially since you're paying for the gas).  You've got about three days of solid driving to pick me and my bride up but we'll have our bags packed and ready to go.
You better leave tomorrow so we can get to Tacoma in time for the Friday night pre-game party.

p.s.  I'll buy the first round!
