Chris Boock Savoring final season

---"Linfield was the first school that I heard from and I wanted to be close to home," Boock said. "I looked at Willamette, but it was just too close. Plus, I really liked the feeling I got from being on the Linfield campus."

---"Everyone here in the program feels a great responsibility to win," Boock said. "The coaches are a lot of ex-Linfield players who know how to get it done. It's an attitude here, and the people involved do not like to lose."


---"Defensively, I'm a product of the coaching staff here. [Defensive coordinator] Joe Smith helped me out a lot, also [recent graduates] Phil Marr and Eric Hillison helped me get to where I am. They were kind of my mentors," he said.

Great story on a fine DB. Sure must be nice having that blazing speed in the secondary.

I was going to say that he might get an NFL or CFL tryout, but he answered the question himself in saying he's not going to pursue pro football. If his track times keep improving, he might change his mind.

Anyway, great story. The guy sounds like a class act.

You know I was thinking about the PLU/UPS game this week and I just think that the Lutes move the ball really well and will be ready to play their home opener vs. the Loggers.   The only thing that concerns me is PLU's inability to stop the run.

However, UPS might just go "UPS" on us again and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Alright,

PLU beats UPS this weekend.   There is a lot on the line.  Not this year UPS.  I am going with 35-14.  PLU learns how to score in the redzone and not turn the ball over.

Whitworth goes down to Linfield.... 45 - ??.  I know that Linfield will score at a minimum 45 points.  Unless the JV plays, then the score will only be 42-??.   The JV has some work to do.

  Just checked the Weather for gametime.  The rats are in touble.  57 and partly cloudy.  winds 5-10.  I think the only way they could expect to stay close is bad weather, on second thought, I don't give a crap about the weather
