O.K.

I've taken some heat because I'm not going up to the game this week. Don't really care what mudball thinks, but I will let the others decide which is more important.

Mrs Tux has a good friend who's Husband has been over fighting terror or something over in Irag. He  has been gone for over a year and his wife is putting on a welcome home party.

Now you decide.............. I couldn't come up with an excuse like that if I tried.  ;)
You know where I want to be. I've even had 2 ride offers, one without even  paying for gas.  :o  Don't worry, I'll have D&D in my ear! ;D

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

d-train.....it is too bad that Pacific Lutheran does not have an on campus football stadium.  If the Lutes did, the Wildcat brethren could pass by what look to be some of the finest "adult establishments" on the West Coast.  In hoops we have often joked that PLU has more of these type of "entrepreneurial endeavors" within one mile of its campus than the rest of the NWC has within ten miles of other campuses.

Instead, Linfield will drive past it all and head to another of the culture centers of Western Washington, Puyallup...home of the Western Washington Fair!

Tuxguy.....your excuse for missing the game shows me you have your priorities right.   Just don't let it happen again, though  ;D ;D

I'd bet you're way off. Portland is more liberal. There's as many of those places within 10-15 miles of L&C as the rest of the NWC schools combined - including PLU. But PLU does have one that is very close to campus and quite obvious.

Sunriver is SWEET--  We always stayed at Inn of the 7th Mountian, or rented a vacation home on the golf course, Depending on the time of year, rafting the river, the mountian is Awesome to Ski ( Warren Miller good !!!) Or just hangin out.  Dee, if you aren't having fun, you aren't tryn !!  Enjoy you time in Bend.

See you at the Catdome for the Rat killing

Well....not to argue over something that was supposed to be humorous.... the one mile radius around L&C is mostly "old money" housing.....the median price for housing in the area has to be $300K or more.    PLU is a bit of an oasis surrounded by businesses that cater to the Fort Lewis army base.    Understand I'm not ripping PLU.....just the socioeconomic base in the neighborhood.

Portland takes the cake in "that" department (by the way, this is a 2005 article - the "1995" at the top is in regards to something else)....... Portland #1

On the complete opposite side of the spectrum, I remember before I attended Linfield being sent a brochure stating that McMinnville had more churches per capita than any city in the country. Not sure how accurate that was and if it is still the case.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

GHC -
I think it's Coco who is heading to Sunriver this weekend. I was there three weeks ago. It is always a great time for sure.

Foss -
Thanks for providing some facts for LBC to consider.

LBC -
Sure the S.E. base of Parkland and the McCord/Fort Lewis influence leads to a small handful of 'seedy' joints. (...and that whole Bub Rub whistle tips clip could have been filmed in Parkland.) I'm just saying that your count of 'adult establishments' is way off when you consider that L&C is in the conference and Oregon is extremely liberal in what is protected as 'artistic expression'.

Mudball,
Kiss my a$$ !!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a moron

Phone that in

Mudball,  I am once again in total agreement with my buddy GHC.  You really need to be careful.  Most of us are good honest fans and don't take lightly someone like you making those comments.  Some posters have much higher priorities then football, but then it sounds like you don't have a life so we will understand you and forgive you or at least we will as soon as you follow GHCs instructions.

GHC, I picked up the special order today and will pack it away and bring it on up.  :o :o

I personally like having mudball do his thing. I like hearing from l n d and Fatman '76. No matter what. They show their claws.
Was watching the Willamette game at homecoming standing next to a soon-to-be inducted into the LINFIELD HOF and he got very animated when a WILDCAT reached out his hand to help up the Qb he had just knocked down. "Wha'! You see that? You don't help him up. You make sure he sees your smile and your number! You don't help him up!"
I chose not to mention NCAA Division III guidelines on sportsmanship, etc. There is an old school (and a winning one) that runs through LINFIELD that can be as respected as the speed that ran to the Stagg in 2004.
