wow 3 losses...can't wait to hear the game reactions, how many TOs for the Cats? Rats?

This clears up the playoff picture quite nicely, Oxy and Whitworth in the 1st round...

and remember....both teams had to play in it.

I am with ya TC.  Looking forward to some new blood in Collegeville.

As we discussed last week with the UWW/UMHB game, the score is the only stat that determines the winner.

4th down pass, incomplete.  Hard damn luck and most of it self-inflicted.  Sorry boys.  Here's hoping that given how close the game was that a glimmer of playoff hope remains in place.

NO WAY TOOTH...   I WOULD NOT CALL IT  a CLOSE GAME AT ALL ...JUST TURNOVERS .. AND you are right        " "SELF-INFLICTED".....

GREAT JOB BY THE BIG D  CATS...  HELD THE RATS TO 85 YARDS TOTAL ...... I WOULD NOT CALL THAT CLOSE .

Go Rats and make the NWC proud ...

Whit had only 85 yards of total O and 38 of it on one play. But the Rats held the ball and the Cats didn't. I will take hits for this, but don't hand the crown to the Rats yet. Whit still has to play a 7-2 UPS team that is playing well. I said two weeks ago that I think the Loggers - Rats game will be tight.

Tough loss Cats... I feel your pain... UMHB controlled the game against UWW - especially the 2nd half - but turnovers and mistakes did them in.

Anybody know how many total turnovers the 'Cats have had in the lst three games? Whatever the number, it has to be a three-game "all-time record."

quick thoughts on this weekends games.

I was rooting for the Cats but can't say I'm overly disappointed with the outcome.  (I wanted to see two NWC teams in the playoffs.)  Good to see another team competing for the conference title.

Amazing that Linfield kept it that close with 7 to 1 turnover ratio.  I think that shows they are good but just had one of those days.  I'd like to hear later from guys at the game if they thought turnovers were forced by great Whitworth defensive play or not.

LOGDAWG, trumping up your stats in a blowout will never get you an attaway from this LUTE.

DesertCat1:

You're aboslutely right, the 'Cats dominated on the field and utterly self destructed.  I meant close only in terms of the actual score . . . and from what I gather, the chances of a Linfield Playoff slot is virtually nil?  Anyone think that's wrong?

I hold out hope if for no other reason than to see Linfield travel to Los Angeles for round one . . . absent that, I'm guessing that my Tigers will have to head up to Spokane for the first game, a trip I will be unable to make.

And as for round two in Collegeville . . . new blood yes,  but it could be a different breed of 'Cat rather than a 'Rat . . . you just never know.

I guess we'll see when the brackets actually get set . . . a week from tomorrow I think?

OldCatProf, I think D & D said 18 TOs in the last 3 games.

18 is right, your website shows 5 against PLU, 6 against Menlo, and 7 today.  Does that mean L&C will get 8.   ;D

Hey speedy, you could be right but  by the way things have gone so far  :o , they(L&C)  will need more than that to win this one . ;D ::)

You're right on that one.  I think your guys could turn it over 8 times and still beat L&C.

I guess I'll be rooting for the Pirates the rest of the way.  If UPS pulls an upset next week are the Pirates still in the playoffs?  They got to have improved their QOW with this win AT Linfield.
