I think the broadcasters get the updates from a telephone tree (friend at each game calls other friend who then calls a guy at the Cat-RAt game who finishes his beer and then runs up to the press box to give the update).

I went to the ASC update board and HPU just missed a tying field goal, held umhub, and then had too many guys on the field during the punt. Ughhh. I am glad my team is good.
