Congrats to Whitworth on knocking off Occidental in the opening round.  You guys will need a pretty good game with no turnovers to beat St. John's, but anything is possible in the post season!
To succeed, one must be creative and persistent.  John H. Johnson

I'm gonna be the lone NWC prick in the group.  I hope Whitworth gets smoked this weekend.  I can't root for those guys!  Do you think anybody from Ann Arbor is going to be rooting for Ohio State to win the national championship just because they're from the Big 10...save it.  They HATE those guys.  The NWC doesn't need to earn anymore "street cred" around the nation, they've put a beatdown on the "Beast of the Least" twice and beaten Trinity, UMHB, St. John's, UWLAX, Wartburg...the NWC is fine.  Here's to a monkey stomp in Spokompton on Saturday!   :o

By the way...bring your walking shoes Johnnies, the locker room is about a mile from the field.  Take the short cut down the stairs right past the RAT locker room though, they love that!  :D

OK, so I was just trying to blow the last 45 minutes of the work day...  But I've heard enough ridiculousness about people "trying to stop the Johnnie running game" and stuff like that.  Just wanted to set the record straight.

GO JOHNNIES!

Hardly rediculousness man, the trend I noted is real---when the Johnnies win big they pile up running stats (whether its through shovel passes, fumble-rooskies, or whatver).  Morover, and this is a tip for you Johnnies who think that information revealed here is giving the other team the edge, the Rats are most susceptible to a good running attack.  Thus, if the Rats stop the JOhnnies on the ground they have a better shot.  That was my point (I'm pretty sure I mentioned that the Johnnies prefer to pass):  Rats need to control the ground game if they hope to have a chance at winning this week.........they also need to score more points than the Johnnies ;) LOL

MC--I get what you are saying, I just don't necessarily agree with it.  When the Johnnies "win big they pile up running stats" because they are playing against an inferior opponent.  Against Augsburg, Hamline, Gustavus, and Carleton (their highest 4 rushing totals of the year), they got the lead early by passing, then sat on the ball by running it.  So yeah, if the Johnnies pile up a bunch of rushing yards the Pirates are in trouble--they got behind and let the Johnnies let the air out of the ball.

But the Johnnies prefer to pass--holding SJU's rushing totals down doesn't necessarily mean you are stopping them, it just means you are keeping the game close.  And you are right, that is better than the alternative for Whitworth.

TDT, of course there is a story behind the NFC Team add on.  I'll tell it to ya sometime

We are heading out tomorrow to have T-day with Wildcat 11 and family in Oregon.  what could be better than turkey beer and football, All Men gathering in Wildcat 11's new manroom  complete with pool table games and such  IE the Wildcat room.  " Im going to kick that turkey's ass !!!"  Later as we are asleep on the couch,  WOW that turkey kicked our ass.  Gotta love it.

Happy Thanksgiving-  I think we all have alot to be thankful for-  you make the call  PHONE IT IN

coco

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, GHC, and all the other posters.

I'm still supporting Whitworth against the Johns, as I don't have any animosity towards the Rats. Now if it were Willamette playing, that would be a tough decision.

Travel safely, everyone.

Joel Clark's ankle is looking a little bit better.  He still has a limp, and probably wont be able to run on saturday but at least he'll be able to put some more weight on it when he throws (it's his right foot, which for him as a right handed QB is the foot he plants to throw).  Thought TDT would need that last little explanation, he doesn't seem to know a whole lot about what actually goes on in the game of football.  Oh yeah and duff man, I like the comeback a few posts agao to my moron line....douchebag, nice one.  That was pretty original, I've actually never heard that before.   Mighty Royal..."phone it in" are you kidding me?  Although Bethel has won almost as many playoff games as Linfield...Oh wait...that doesn't mean you can copy other posters tag lines.  Come up with something original like those chuck norris facts you've got...ooops, my bad, those were stolen from someone else on the internet too.  DustySJU...simmer down.  You don't have to get all butt hurt about TC sharing info about the Johnnies here on the board.  Unless you actually believe that the Whitworth coaches are going to get on here, copy his post and use it as a blueprint how to win.  Who needs game film when you've got dedicated d3football.com posters, right?  In fact did you know that before the internet was invented, coach Gagliardi actually tapped into the phone lines of people like yourself who were sharing their views on hot to beat the opponent so he could formulatea winning gae plan.  And before that he was robbing the Pony express to find letters THAT Oxybob and Tooth were writing back and forth just in case SJU had to play Oxy.  And one more thing if you are gonna make a post that only has two sentences in it do us  favor and do a little self spellcheck..."develeoping..." brilliant!

If Whitworth plays like they did last week SJU wins by several touchdowns.  But if the offense plays like they did on those first two drives against Occidental then this one will be close and Whitworth will win.  I don't expect SJU turn the ball over much but if they do I won't be the least bit surprised, Whitworth's D has forced good teams into making bad decisions/plays all year.  Well, this will be the thrid week this season when we shut up obnoxious fans from the opposing team...Linfield, Oxy, and now the Johnnies.

Oh prepubescent one,

You did such a nice job trying to rip all of the Johnnie posters and Mighty Royal in one swoop!  But our skin is so much thicker than you can imagine ;)

Where's this cartoon that you were blabbering on and on about?  All I see is your lame Oxy cartoon.  Will you work on it in study hall tomorrow?

I like to call it the "Catdome Auxiliary Lounge".  It's a work in process.  Mrs 11 and myself still need to put on some new paint and get all of our Wildcat propaganda on display.

The Dart board has a number of pictures in the rotation: (In no real order)
-Osama Bin Laden
-Hitler
-Touchdown Tommy
-Jose Chavez Y Chavez (hate cattle thieves)
-King George III
and
-Frosty Westering (ok..not really but Mrs. 11 lobbied for it)

BTW....(509)....I still see plenty of Linfield posters on here after Whitworth "won" vs Linfield.  The 'Cats have "shut up" Whitworth for 30 years so just because we coughed it up 7 times and the Rats still needed to make a play with :30 left in the game to win doesn't mean Linfield should run and hide.  Whitworth is having a great year but they are no Linfield 2002-2005 or PLU 1999-2000.

Enjoy the rest of the week.  If Whitworth wins, then more power to the Rats but if the rides ends on Saturday then savor it because Linfield will be taking back that NWC crown in 2007.
