11: Whitworth wasn't very good in 2006...

You're right...that was probably the worst team Linfield has lost to since Eastern Oregon in 1996.  Linfield's offense was terrible that day and still had a shot on the last play of the game...Brutal loss.

My son will be playing for Willamette this fall. We live in southern ca., My question is this: Are NWC games televised anywhere? We never missed a high school game... its going to be murder on us missing him playing NCAA  :(
Go Bearcats!!!

welcome aboard.  I think Willamette plays their games on a local cable station.  Probably won't be able to see them live but you probably get the tapes...good luck!

There are some clips used in the above footage pulled from the Salem TV broadcast, to give you an idea of what I'm talking about...

BohemothsDad

Thanks for the welcome, and the info. Maybe I can bribe one of the team's A/V guys to copy the game films for me, lol....hmmmm.....
Go Bearcats!!!

Welcome aboard BohemothsDad. Start shopping Southwest's specials and you can get some pretty good airfare deals. I fly up to see Linfield at least once a year. If I actually had a son playing it would be more. ;D I have meet a number of players parents from central CA that make most of the games this way. Also the Bearcats play at Menlo in the bay area in the fall. Good luck to your son.

Welcome aboard.  You have signed up to the right place for the latest and greatest in NWC footballl to follow your son's career.  Now how big a Bohemoth are we talking about, and what would you like to tell us about him?

BohemothsDad:
Welcome to the board and congratulations to your son on playing NCAA Div. lll football.
Most D3 schools broadcast over the internet so be sure to log onto the Bearcats' football page to follow the games on their webcast.
My son just finished playing at Linfield and when we could not make it to the games my wife and I listened to them over the net.
My advice from one father to another.....do whatever it takes to make the trip to see your boy play. It is an experience you, your family, and your son will never forget.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Get to all the games you can. My son will be a senior player at CLU this year. I'm already trying to figure out what to do in the fall on Saturday afternoons when his playing days are done. It seems like yesterday we were taking him to school to start summer camp. It'll go by faster than you think. Cherish the time you get to watch him play. Good luck.

Yo my northern bruthas!

Here's a reply I posted to 509 on the SCIAC board about my trip this past weekend to Spokane.  Thought some of you might be interested, but not visiting our board during this slow period:

My first extended visit to Spokane and it was great.  A couple of great lunches and beer at Clinkerdaggers while we watched the river run (I really enjoyed the fish & chips, the prime rib french dip, the local pale ale . . . not a big fan of the huckleberry lemonade though).  Reception was at the Spokane Athletic Club.  Ate at the italian restaurant at Lusso's hotel and enjoyed a fine family barbeque out in Chewelah.  The Peacock Room at the Davenport was an excellent spot for imbibing as well . . . and some excellent imbibing was done. All in all, a great . . . what might say "Amazing" . . . wedding and weekend.  [bonus points if you get the reference].

Good times had by all, ran into some folks wearing Pirate regalia who were in town for their daughter's  softball game, but they weren't football fans so no Oxy/Whitworth discussion.

As for spring ball, I'm in the dark, sorry I can't offer any useful or entertaining comments.  The only thing I can say is that the kids seem pretty confident in Goltz's ability to step up to the plate and that he's working out hard.  Not sure whether or how Saunders fits into the mix at this point.  Similarly don't know who's on the charts in the recruiting world.  Just a deep pit of no knowledge.

I hope Oxy gets Whitworth on its schedule again, would love to have a reason to come back up.

Once again 11, great work.  If I could only give out karma.  Thanks for the work you do on these videos, its great recognition for the NWC and what makes our board better than the MIAC and its useless posts from TDT.

509Rat,

You have a guy here who can do that for you and you just took him to 280.  I laid some on you as well.

Elliott went from "Tiny" Linfield to Linfield in a week with heavy duty accolades for his DIII accomplishments.  Do we have a Linfield football recruiting outpost in Amsterdam, (where the game was played)?  Should we be getting somebody on it pretty quick?

Good luck to Mr. Allen in this weekends Draft. I am sure all of you guys up North will be proud when he gets selected by an NFL team. I am also sure you guys will be crossing your fingers for Mr. Collins from So.Cal being picked by a team as well :P

I'll be rooting for the Mr. Collins from Zillah, WA...I don't know about the Collins you're talking about eagle  ;D

If I have any undeserving 'what the h*** you talking about' fan B.S. after having seen the two Rhein highlight clips, it would not be looking at the prime target mostly but it would be taking off that helmet sooner coming off the field so the camera can get better mug shots for the world.
