Blue,

I am both a fan and an alumni of the Northwest Conference....I enjoy talking about all the teams....played in some exciting games from 98-01 and coached as a grad assistant from 01-03

Thanks for that link, R&P. That's great news, and a well-deserved honor for Doug Hire. It looks like a good group of inductees.

Welcome, Toivo70. Are you shy about saying what school you went to or coached at? It doesn't really matter, but if you're a longtime reader, you know we would like to have more schools represented.

Nice to hear from you, Wyd.

OK, not football related, but how about those Beavers?

And Paterson and Turpen yesterday!

What's up strangers.  Man, I haven't posted in ages but have been keeping an eye on the boards.  11, thanks again for all your work and amazing videos.  BE looks like he's starting to feel comfortable in the pocket.  Not the constant shuffling and movement that I thought he was showing in the early weeks.  He threw some great deep balls that were just an inch or two off in last weeks game.  What's up with the defense leaving those guys wide open in the middle of the field.  Maybe if they'd cover those routes, BE would have some open guys down field to display his arm a little bit.  All and all, I think he's looking good and is certainly doing the NWC proud.
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

Wildcat,

Bingo!!!...I should start calling you Columbo.  ;D  No seriously though I enjoy getting online on Saturdays around 3:00 and seeing how the NWC teams do....especially against some of the teams in the upper midwest and down south.

Welcome Toivo70,

WC11,
Do you and Toivo70 have some story's about each other you want to let out?  ;) ;)
'98 -01, seems you 2 might have had some battles against each other.

Bragging rights go to WC11  ;D, 4-0 during that span, but 2000  and '98 were  interesting games, 24-21. and  10-7.
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Tux,

True we did lose some close games to the 'Cats.....'01 hurt the worst with Cooney's late 4th quarter punt return for a TD.

Wildcat 11,
Don't know if we ever lined up....I played G in '98 and '99 and was left tackle in '00 and '01.  I'm guessing you were gone by then.  If you're the guy I'm thinking of, I saw you speak on behalf of the Linfield program at the Seahawks facility when I was a senior in H.S. checking out Linfield.

Interesting...
What am I supposed to think about Brett and his coaches when he gets in with 1:44 to go in a 17-13 winnable game? True platoon football or 2nd string?
Hmmm.

Toivo70...Wildcat11 is more persuasive now..... ;D

Just catching up on the last few days.  Welcome to the board Toivo70.

Had a nice conversation with PLU head coach Scott Westering on Tuesday.  He was up here coaching at a high school camp, hosted by Colony High School (Head Coach  - Linfield grad Jamie Mayo).  SWesty said he was excited about this years squad.

When do teams start practicing?

Tovio 70 welcome to the Board.....keep those postings coming....A Rat or not we welcome your banter with the Cats, Lutes and Bearkitties.

Speedyboy,
A "name from the past".....Jamie Mayo was clearly one of the best defensive players for the Cats over the past few decades.   It's no wonder that Colony High has had tremendous success since his tenure as Head Coach.....I just hope he sends a few of those young studs to the Catdome to carry on the tradition.
