Two nice catches by Mike Allan on KC's first TD drive.  Nice job Mike!

Yes those were nice catches and just happened to occur while the announcers were interviewing the KC GM so both his name and DIII Whitworth got mentions several times. 

I thought he had a bit of a problem blocking however.  Twice I noticed the defensive end of the Dolphin manhandled and simply threw him on his back.

  I agree.  He got worked pretty good at the line and got juked pretty bad on the return coverage, but once he breaks free from the line ran decent routs.  I don't think there has ever been a question on his hands.  All in all its great for D3 to have him make it.
   And before I have 43 Rat posters jump in here, I was one of the ones that said he would not get a look by the NFL.  Just goes to show that every set of eyes scouts from a different angle.

BadgerWarhawk - Mike will only get stronger and develop as a blocker as he continues to work against NFL-level competition.  

What can't really be coached is the concentration level and natural good hands he showed while making a couple of tough catches as he was getting hit.  He showed a lot of guts getting that catch over the middle last night.

The fact that he played so much of the game (Gonzales played the first two series, then it was pretty much Michael until the end) shows to me how the Chiefs feel about him.

It was pretty cool hearing the KC President give Mike and Whitworth some love on national television.

As football official,  that would get you 15yds every time.  That is

an easy call.  You are not going to tell me that that did not draw a flag.

After the punt return in the national championship game I dont think any Wildcats will be letting up before the whistle blows.  Id rather see a questionable late hit than a big play happen because someone gives up on the tackle.

The box score on the chiefs website was all screwed up but from what I saw Mike had at least 3 catches for around 40 yards.  The GM did give some love to Mike, Whitworth, and DIII football in general...that is until Jaws cut him off to talk about the QB Croyle (go figure) 

d-train, I get why you posted what you did...I too would have jumped at seeing Menlo up so high in a pre-season conference poll (and LC above anyone)

Getting to the pile late was the only way I got in on any tackles.

I'm curious why everyone keeps saying "bring back the band". They already are back as far as I know. They were there in full strength last year unless I'm going crazy and just imagined it.

Also there have been several references to the NWC Championship being played on the 5th of November. Somebody should check the calendar.     I'm thinking maybe Oct. 20th is a possible date for this event also.

I have never looked past L & C....... Nov. 10 will tell the story and give the Cats a NWC Championship. The way I see it, The Cats need to play each game as if it's for the Championship, all the way to the Stagg Bowl.

I remember the Cats with a goal line stand at the end of a game at Palatine Hill to Keep the streak alive not to long ago.

So he is still live because is still moving.  He is on the ground and the play is dead.

With that logic, a player 3 yards out of bounce and still running (moving) is live.
