Tooth,
maybe I won't be buying that jersey after all...kidding  ;D

QuoteLooked more at the WOU Wolves:  They looke to be bigger than the CATS.
In the words of Mrs. RFB..."size doesn't matter"

Hey Jerkoff,

I don't care if you're joking, leave my wife out of any future references here. Prick!

Western Oregon is getting better coaching these days and is always huge in size. They will probably try and smashmouth us to see if they can. I didn't see the game this year but last year I went to the Willamette/Western game and Willamette looked fuzzy on offense. I'm wondering if they were sputtering again this year or was Westerns D pretty good? Looking at the box score Western only scored like 1 time per quarter so it wasn't like they were marching all over Willamette.

Well, I'm glad to see the institution of higher learning that is Redlands University hasn't failed its students.  I figured someone from a University thats in the same class as OXY would give me a response thats in the same class as either Tooth or OxyBob...wrong.  Maybe I should have directed the jab at one of those two just to enjoy the thoughtful (and humorous) response that would have undoubtedly followed my post.  :D

Willamette did lose their fly guy (slot reciever that goes into that fly motion nearly every play) which could have caused some of the miscues.  We ran it off and on in high school years ago but that fly motion has some different reads to make from a normal runningback and takes some time to get used to running.  Didn't see the game like it appears you have...just a thought.

Now were talking......The board is heating up,  ;D

Jabs at the head of the household the first week. :o

My take on the WOU vs. Willamette game......the game was 16-3 with under 5 minutes to go in the game. WOU scored with 4:50 something in the 4th and the bear-kitties got a touch as time ran out. 1st game jitters? I guess we will see this week!

WOU is much improved over years past, but this Cat thinks the Wolves are in for a long Day!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

OlineMom,

Welcome back to the NWC Board....we've missed you!  Glad you are coming to the Catdome.....that is wonderful news after all your "well wishes" for the Cats over the past couple of years.  I suspect the Purple Flag will be ever present at the Tailgater in advance of the game!

You're in for a treat and experience you won't soon forget!  Thanks again for coming West!!!

CATS WILL LEAVE NO DOUBT IN 2007

I am so looking forward to it!!!

Tux,
I was waiting for your expert analysis....the Bearkitties must just have had fewer "first game jitters" than they did last year when they had 42 points scored on them.  Did you go to the Purple and White scrimmage?  I imagine there are still a thing or two to refine before this weeks game with the Wolves.  I did hear a rumor that the D was tough as nails and that teams might have a pretty tough time scoring on this unit this year....picking up where they left off with Whitworth last year.

Wow! Olinemom gets away to the Northwest for the South-West match-up. Wouldn't blame her at all if she kept her Dixie sentiments until a West-North game in Salem,VA.

Tuxguy! better dig in the closet for that bracelet! Mine is here in plain sight.
Onelinemom probably wouldn't care if I presented it to Pat for a welcome token.

Cheer for HSU?  I don't think so. And as for the bracelet, Pat can have a couple of brownies.  Tuxguy best keep his bracelet!!  Hoping to see everybody.  I am also looking forward to seeing all the beautiful sights of Oregon.  It'll be my first time there, although I have been to California with my baseball team 4 times.  We had the first Stone Station tail gate yesterday.  Llamaguy did his barbequed chicken-yumm!!!  We're on the road next week at Shenandoah as the official tailgate for that game.  The Alumni office has asked us to host. 35 have already replied and Llamaguy doesn't know any of them.  I am up to make mac & cheese and, of course, brownies.
We had a great win yesterday, 44-19.  McDaniel only scored 3 points on our first team.  My OLiners really did a great job and #1, Philip Carter, got the BC record for TDs scored in a single game:  5.  He did that by the beginning of the 3rd quarter.  There are plenty of things that have to be improved, of course, but they looked a lot better!!  See you soon! ;D ;D ;D

How about Appalachian State??!!  First time a I-AA school beat a top 25...EVER!   Lloyd Carr better box his sh*t up and call u-haul...
and isn't it nice that Rowan also died yesterday while playing CNU? (Can't resist your caption.  It makes me happy every time I see it)  And, of course, App State is the real deal and Michigan got caught looking past them.  I think it's funny!!  And Great!!!

If the Cats play defense like they did against Whitworth last year...the Wolves will be in for a big surprise...that was the best Cat defensive effort that I've ever seen.

That Appalachian State score was pretty interesting...
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Wow, I go away for the weekend and miss alot:

1.  Michael Allan manages to make the final roster of the Chiefs.  Way to go!
2.  Willamette manages to look worse on offense in 2007 than they did in 2006 (according to the stats).
3. 509 manages to piss off an entire league's fan base!

That's what I get for leaving the laptop at home.

Hey, I will miss you at the Linfield game you're coming all the way to the West Coast to see. I'm currently living in London and therefore won't be at the game, but I may give you a call. You can rest assured that the Purple Flag will be there in all of it's glory to carry on the Might Cat Tradition. I've entrusted it with my mafia and they have promised to provide you with all the brewskies and food you need. Go Cats!

Wildcat'64

UK Cat,

What time of the day will the Cat game come "on line" in London if the start time is 6:00 p.m. Pacific?  Thank goodness we now have the internet to make Wildcat football accessible to the world.  Some day it will be on video as well as audio and Cat fans around the world can view their beloved Cats playing in the Catdome on any given Saturday.
