K-Mack, a fine itinerary you have lined up, especially item #2.  Coach Rutschman is a legend and a must meet for any true D3 football fan.  Although he never coached at the D3 level his squads were the ones that set the tone for today's teams, he continued "The Streak", in addition to winning three National Championships (plus a fourth in baseball).  A career record of 183-48-3 (.788) ain't too shabby.  I don't think many outside of the Northwest know of the legendary coach, but his legacy lives on in Linfield football.

He is in the college football hall of fame. Not entirely unknown....
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

OK, I know there have been suggestions a'flying, but here are my goals for the trip. Let me know if I'm missing something:

1. Take in a series or two on the end zone couches
2. Spend some time with Ad Rutschman somehow
3. Tour the Catdome

Who do I have to talk to to make these things happen?

Also, what do I need to add to my list? Can I get up a game of touch football somewhere?

4. Throw TD pass to Branden Hazenberg, pretend to be Brett Elliott. Or Tyler Matthews even.

Keith,

I can make all four happen and number 4 can go either way.  You could catch a TD pass from Ty if you wanted.  He's the team chaplin and will be there along with Haze (TE coach).

Rutsch will be easy to find.  Just look for the glowing light at the 'Catdome and walk towards it.

BTW, I was going to add a 5th point:  Keith have a longie with GHC but since GHC can't make it we'll have to scrub that one.

This is a cool website.  I have been reading everyone else's postings, but this is my first (a sort of test run).

Sounds like we will have an exciting game on Saturday.     I hope we get that running game going!!!!

Hello everyone! :D

Hey Cat-alums.  What is the kicking game progression from pre-game?  For the life of me, I can't remember.  I do remember, "Hustle on, hustle off, call the man's name."  But that's something else.

Ditto.

Suggest someone start an 'In game Thread' to use for the rest of the season.

what's an "in game thread" ?

Ralph Turner

It is a separate message board on which fans can post scores, plays updates, etc.

In the ASC, we use the in-game board if we are listening to a web feed or a radio broadcast and make the results available to all.

I kinda figured as much.  But then I'd have to follow two threads and it would take us longer to get to 1000 pages  :)
