No 'stache for me...I'll leave that one to the current players. I did just change my avatar, though, to a picture from Scott's playing days as a sign of support. To those who say he hasn't changed his look since 1980...well here's proof that it's toned down a bit:

That's great d-train.  Here I spend an hour last night going thru folders of old newspaper clippings looking for a photo of his playing days and you pop in that one, awesome!

The article said Scott doesn't allow facial hair so when I ran across the program from the '83 championship game I checked out the photos and here's the stats:

Of the 42 players on the PLU roster for the game:

7 mustaches (most looked about like the photos on the d3 homepage)
4 full beards with mustaches

You'll see Scotty Kessler on the page as well. Besides being obviously younger, his look hasn't changed that much. I still can't get past his 8 interceptions in 3 playoff games including 4 in the '80 title game. That's incredible!

I guess that shows my age.  I go looking at old newspapers and you hit the websites. 

Kessler's championship game was certainly incredible.  What a way to finish your career, huh.  I was a freshman (redshirt, bomber D-line) at the time and watched the game from the stands at the Lincoln Bowl.

I have the Linfield/PLU game marked on my calendar as a "Father Son" trip.  I am hoping to make it depending on work schedules.    It would be good to reconnect with you fellas again.

I am going to see if I can convince D-Train to grow a stache with me so we can do some tailgaiting in style.

Seriously, don't any of those guys believe in hair cuts (j/k I know a few them have short hair).  Could be a good matchup PLU vs. Whitworth---  The team that doesn't allow long hair vs. the team that doesn't allow hair cuts....

I am really sorry that I had to miss last week.  It killed me to just listen in now and then.  I'm sure 11 filled you guys in.  We just closed on a new home and have got to get the move done on time.  I will be at the WU game with ole blue and Mojo, ready to rock !!
