Thanks to all you CATS fans for welcoming my Wife and I. We are very proud to have a son in the Linfield Family. Hope to meet some of you at the games.

manuel lamson (Joe):
I don't want to be presumptuous, but if you would like to discuss the practical side of making a trip to Linfield (where to stay, eat, rent a car, etc.) I'd be glad to share with you what my wife and I learned over the past five years of travelling to the Catdome from Arizona.

Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

I'd like to extend a Purple Paw to whomever nominated those WILDCAT fellows to the Team of the Week.

Good one ... + karma to you.  A new award for the Cats...."The Purple Paw Award".  Hopefully there are a lot of Purple Paw's to be handed out a week from Saturday at WU....maybe those defensive players can earn a few!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

...our defense will be ready for Willamette. We're going to stop them in the Bearpaws! This game will show us if our d-line and linebackers are ready to get down to business. I'm not worried about the secondary that much, they'll be just fine.

Congrats to Scharer and Birkhofer on the recognition. They were very humble in the local paper's write-up.

I don't think I said it before, but THANK YOU, Pat and Keith, for coming all the way out to Oregon for the game on Saturday. We know it strains the D3 budget to make such a long trip and we Wildcat fans appreciate it. The coverage was great.
Two words:  THE STREAK

The question of who President Riley is....is absolutely relevant to this site....Soley because it was he who saved Linfield College from extinction during many dark years at the college...My deductive reasoning says that without Riley there would be no Linfield College to this day...and no Wildcat Football.....Therefore, in my opinion, all things Linfield are relevant to Wildcat Football....since all things are linked in one way or another.  No...president Riley was not buried alive...but I do believe his wife is buriend with him...after she died...I am also willing to bet that she was a Wildcat Football Fan...making her also relevant to this website....

Linfield fans...you think that having a bye week is bad for you, just think about the people who come to this message board and all they read is about mustaches and buried faculty outside campus buildings...PUKE.  Thank goodness for your boys being named to the TOW, otherwise I wouldn't have even known this was supposed to be a football message board at all.

Long road trip for the Blue Devils from Wisconsin, hopefully they get to enjoy some of the "finest" steaks in all the land from the Golden Corral and get a little Spokane culture while checking out NorthTown Mall.  Mall of America has nothing on the Spokane Malls.  Anyways, sounds like they lost quite a few lineman and the "stud" receiver from last year.  QB is their leading rusher and no sign of their 900+ yard rusher from 2 years ago who is returning from injury.  Power running team, against the pirate defense...24-7, BUCS continue to get back on track.

With our high school playing the next two fridays after this week, I will see all you pirate fans for Menlo and PLU.  Looking forward to making the fun trek from Seattle and seeing the return of the nicest team in football, who cuts and rolls 15 yards down field, blows a kids acl out and says "good job."  Did I mention I hate PLU.

Did I mention I hate PLU.

You mentioned L&C already. Anyone else while you're at it?

Okay, maybe hate isn't really the word I'm going for.  Because its not as if I really like any team in the NWC besides the BUCS.  How about..."Have No Respect For"  Another example why I "Have No Respect For" for the Lutes...They will come into your team huddle after a game and want to pray/congratulate you on a great game, where they just slaughtered you 34-0, but you end up beating them, and they are no where to be seen.  Funny how that works.

Coco -- thanks, it was a pleasure to meet you this weekend. We'll come back someday, I'm sure.

That's not my experience in dealing with PLU.  I love to beat PLU more than anyone in the conference.  It ALWAYS feels great to really beat that team.  However, I respect their program more than anyone in conference.  Yeah, some of the traditions are a little different but I think they play the game the right way.  I've seen them pay their respects many times in victory and defeat.

Let me I'll share this story.  Last year the Linfield women's basketball team tragically lost one of their freshman players in a single vehicle car accident.  It was one of the most gut wrenching deals I've been around in college athletics.  Just about every woman's team in the conference called, sent flowers/cards, etc., but one team's gesture stood out above them all...the PLU football team.  They send down a poster expressing their condolences and I swear that just about every single Lute on that team not only signed the poster but expressed some personal thoughts and kind words.

That might seem like a just a nice gesture but to me it spoke volumes about the make-up and character of their program.  All class.
