I wasn't trying to put the Logger loss on Yom Kippur.  The choosen people didn't make Spencer fumble late in the fourth quarter and it wasn't the Star of David that prevented the Logger defense from making any tackles.

As for Kavin, if you are going to say that the preseason reports said he was NFL caliber, then show me those reports.  You all wonder why Linfield is the only NWC school that is represented on here, minus a handful of Whitworth posters and a Lute or Bearcat here and there, and it is this negative attitude that drives people away.

I'll agree that sometime the UPS quotes seem a little above their play on the field but all they are doing is trying to build confidence in a program that was lacking it for awhile.  From what I hear, players in the years before Willenbrock didn't really care if they won or lost (mostly lost) because that's what was expected.  Thanks to a few athletes like Rory Lee and Kavin Williams, the Logger fans and players are starting to build up expectations of at least being a competitive football program.

Would you rather play a team like UPS that will at least think that they can be competitive or would you rather play Lewis & Clark who will just lay-down on the field and let you run all over them?

Bob (an Oxy fan) was just joking around.

(509)Rat, a Whitworth poster, was making digs about comparing him to NFL QB legends.  Not everyone on here that ribs the Loggers are just Linfield fans.

I think there have been many Linfiled posters on here who have welcomed you and appreciate the fact another logger fan is posting....however that doesn't mean the posters are not going to call UPS out for being a quote machine.

To the Pirate Faithful,

I am extremely upset that I will not be attending this weekends game against Menlo.  Apparenlty I have been signed up to be in a dunk tank at the school I work at, at around 7:00 pm on Saturday.  Apparently the last teacher who did this last year missed a week of school because they got sick, so you can imagine how jacked I am to be sitting in cold water for about an hour.  Also the misses wasn't too keen on me being gone for two straight weekends, but there isn't a chance in hell that I'll be missing the HC game against the Lutes.  I'll try to be one of the 60 people who gets to watch the live feed I guess.  For those of you who got to watch it...what time did you log on to be able to do so?  I tried the first game, but there was no space left.  I will be there in spirit.  Heres to me aquiring mononucleosis.

D O.C.

I was under the impression real Pirates wind up in the drunk tank.
Congratulations on your volunteering.

Pirate Pride,

I tuned in late in the 4th Q. and got to see the best part of the game,  So I'm not sure if some people logged off or what.

GHC,

I'll bring the umbrella to the game, Mrs. Tux tried to sell it at a garage sale last weekend, another close call, but I saved the day!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I apologize to all of the logger fans that have been driven away by my negative attitude- All 4 of them.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Tuxguy

NWFan,

You must have watched a different Lewis & Clark team than I.

I will agree they were pretty bad last year, but I never saw a kid give up! Every player played hard until the end. (40-0)

Maybe It's the difference of playing LInfield and trying to keep it a close game because they know if the score is close it means something , or playing UPS and knowing a loss is just a loss, close or not.  ;) ;)
Before you bring up the 70-14 drubbing of L&C keep in mind the 42-17 score at Baker Stadium.  ;D

LEAVE NO DOUBT

Linfield website has this Saturday's game preview up: Backyard Brawl
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Pirate Pride,
If I were you I would contact SID steve flegel.  I know last year when they started video broadcasting that the feeds were password protected and only players could invite family memebers (and some alumni were invited) to watch the game.  Tell him your situation and ask him to reserve a feed for you...he might be able to do that.  I have no idea if that'll work or if he'd do it but its worth a shot.  The worst thing that could happen is he says he can't and then you do it the same way as everyone else.  :-\

I was wondering if any of the teams in the NWC had gotten any new look uniforms? I've been noticing that a lot of college teams have modernized their look lately. I'd like to see a more sleek look for the Wildcats for their home outfits. Maybe some cool lines in the upper jersey that carries down to the lower level pants that shows some speed which we are known for.  The away outfits look really cool to me because they always look bigger and stronger in all white. But the lines could be more sleek and swifter looking.

Wildcat'64

Seems like everytime the Cats wear the "all purple" uniforms they roll up about 50 points on offense.  They also look fairly classy.  However, before we spend new money on uniforms I wish we'd spend the money on putting the home games on the internet like the Rats and the Wolves....better use of limited $$$ to communicate with the alums and Cat supporters world wide.  Some will never be able so see the uniforms if we don't put the games on the net.

GO CATS....LEAVE NO DOUBT
LEAVE NO DOUBT

I'm not a huge fan of the Nike'ized uniforms that have flooded the college game.  I like a traditional look and I like the 'Cats uniforms just the way they are.

In terms of the internet video broadcasts of games...I don't think that is a priority now or will it be a priority in the near feature.
