....OK....the "Sultons of Fashion" have spoken.   ;D

Well...Willamette's outfits need something!

light n' darkness

greetings d3 nwc posters and wildcats:

Malo Ni and Talofa from the islands.

wow, lots going on. didn't have enough time to read all the stuff i have missed, but i know you guys were keeping the flame blazing all along.

i thought the cats just got new uniforms. i think the all white outfit is the best.

a coach will have to be very bold to change the uniforms. there is some deep traditions that go with the cats uniforms. the cats had pretty much the same uniforms in the last 70's as they have now. then at some point they added white stripes to the jerseys. then they added red shading. ( i believe at each change they won a championship) then they went back to the solid white and solid purple. I think that the look they have now is a classic football look and i like it. besides it links the now with the past.

i do have a problem with the white face-masks. grey would be better.

anyways.....

i'm back..... slide-d-dog-storm .... man those were the days

I like our uniforms, and always have, no matter what changes have been made.
As long as we don't get anything like they have in Eugene, with those goofy numbers and that space-age look, I'll be content.

Are you coming over for a game this year, LnD?
A hui hou!

Two words:  THE STREAK

The classic look is always best in football.  We don't want to end up looking like the Ducks.  And how about that new look from the Beavs?  When they played on ESPN a couple of weeks ago it ooked like they are wearing practice "pinnies" over their game jerseys.  Horrible.  I'm waiting for someone to bring back the "loose" look from the early 80's.  You know, the half-shirt look, sleeves flapping in the wind, neck rolls on the outside.

QuoteI like a traditional look and I like the 'Cats uniforms just the way they are.

Ditto.

I third that thought.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

I'd have to nominate PLU's move from yellow-striped white pants to the solid gold look as one of the better recent uniform updates. Especially since we'd gone to gold helmets a number of years earlier.

I'll take a simple white and red over a gaudy outfit, perhaps something purple, anytime.... :)

Pirate Pride

I'd like to see LC adopt the new Syracuse jerseys, while the Oaks pick up the Philadelphia Eagle throw-back jerseys from last weekend.  Any takers?

Yes, and keep that stripe down the middle of the helmet. It helps line up the hits.

Because of some technical snafus at work, the column I wrote last week for Verizon on my trip to Oregon only just now got published.

Obviously written for a non-D3-savvy audience, but I thought you'd like to see it. Be sure to click the link at the bottom to vote in the poll.

Fantastic work PC!  All streaks come to an end but I hope I'm long gone whenever this streak decides to rest.   :)

Pat Coleman

That'd be one heck of a streak, man. :)

Pat....we're hoping the streak will last until the sun turns into a Red Dwarf.

Pat,

Nice job.

I had a problem with the poll though, It was a toss up, Pop Warner or Small College, but I went with Small College.  ;D

LEAVE NO DOUBT
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Pat Coleman

That's alright -- appreciate any answer you want to give. Thanks!
