another update---injury to a L&C player (leg injury) being taken away by ambulance.  That is not good for anybody and certainly not for the PIOS.  BTW, following the daring 4th and 7 conversion, the Pios drove down the field only to throw an INT in the endzone.... Chi has the ball now at the 32 (their own)

Thanks for the updates. We'll be heading over to the Catdome South in a couple hours to watch our boys swat the Fly. It looks like great football weather.

The local paper gave Linfield some nice press today.

I hope the L&C player is not seriously injured, but an ambulance ride is not a good sign. Like Monrovia said, we all hate to see them lose players.

I'm guessing fracuture or torn muscle/ligament.  Announcers said it was lower leg.  Doesn't sound good but could be a lot worse....  Game update:  about 10 minutes left and the score is 31-21 Chicago Pios have the ball--going for it on 4th again.

Carleton was driving right at the end of the half and had a couple of penalties putting them back out of the red zone.

Pios drive back down and score a TD---go for 2---no good.  Chicago 37 Pios 27 (AJ Brown has thrown 4 TD passes today).   Pios go for onside kick but don't get it.  Chicago with good field position;  first play down to the L&C 15 but called back for holding but still at the 27.  another L&C guys is injured (but able to walk off).  5:05 left

In attempting to run out the clock, the Maroons (Chicago) blow though L&C for another 2 TDs to make the score 57-27 for the final score.  Pios were in this one until the last half of the 4th quarter.  Offense played well minus some turnovers but the D got worn down and shredded.....
