Figure out how to check your personal messages Manuel.
May be you don't have enough time on the board to get them. I sent you one.

Papa Joe,

I couldn't go to the alumni game tonight. My loss. I hope your boy gets to play.

Saturday hurt, but it's over, and we'll move on.
I do have a couple observations, however. We were sitting in the middle of the 'Cat section and not once did we hear anything negative shouted at the team or the coaches. I'm sorry to see it on this board.  As a couple other guys have mentioned, we need to get behind our Wildcats and support them! We know we have the talent in the coaches and players, and we know what we have to work on.

Willamette's PA announcer was less partisan than the old one, but not a lot better. I think a couple students were on the mike. We're spoiled at Linfield. And their timer? Sheesh!

Their scoreboard needs numerous lights replaced.

What a troll you are, Bohemoth. I'm normally not the spelling police, since I make spelling errors and typos like everyone else does, but in your screen name? That's a classic.  I'm guessing you meant Behemoth. Did you go to Willamette, too?

Any updates on the game?

Its past my bed time. I'm dying here.

Early word from the stadium is that Brett Elliott was droppin' bombs on the young D.

....there were plenty of nice plays on both sides of the ball last night. Starting QB Brett Elliott with Thomas Ford in the backfield...Carter, Hazenberg, McKetchney(sp?) and Allen at receivers..... pretty special line up there.....

Papa Joe, I wasn't sure who your boy was/or number but I'm sure he did well.

coco....good thoughts.  And you're right about the clock tender, what was that? I wasn't counting but the refs must have reset the clock at least 15 times. I didn't hear any negative stuff at the game either. It was pretty silent as I think most of us were still in shock.    :o

I wanted to give my half cents on some of the coach bashing as well.  I just believe that it is about 95% the responsibility of the players when you can't hold a lead and you get complacent (which is what it sounds like happened this past weekend).  I think you will find out what kind of coaching staff you have now in the way they respond after a dissapointing loss.  You should beat an above average (maybe) UPS team by about 21, and it is the coaches job to keep the attitudes positive, and make sure the kids realize they can't lose again to have an outside shot at the playoffs.  We had a very dissapointing loss to Willamette in '05 (up 10 with 4minutes to go), which probably cost us a trip to the playoffs.  Yet, we responded the last week by crushing PLU on the road and that is in direct correlation to the great coaching staff that is at Whitworth right now I believe.

Speaking of PLU - Leaving straight from a high school game friday night (Seattle) and getting into Spokane at about 2 am, ready to tailgate at 9  ;D

Quarter of the way to 100 posts !!!

As someone who played against that offense, I can imagine the LB and DL necks might be alittle sore from watching Elliot throw 50 yard strikes over their head.  Atleast they may never face a better offense in a game in their college careers.  Glad I can laugh at it now:  Rushing Elliot at the CatDome, when before the ball is even released, an offensive lineman says, "Uh oh, that's a touchdown..."  10 seconds later I was jogging 70 yards down field to get ready to block a PAT.  Thanks for the memories
