Well I can hardly type today.  A few of my digits are purple this morning.  It was a great time last night.  We were thin in a few spots but the DB's/LB's/OL were great while being thin in numbers.

The weather held up and it seemed that everyone had a great time.  PapaJoe...your kids runs the rock hard..he's going to be just fine.  :)

As soon as I get photos I'll put them on the ADvantage.

I wouldn't call what I said coach bashing...It sounds like the players were in a position to win the game and didn't execute.  Not much the coach can do about that.  I was just pointing out an arrogant statement that was made that slighted a team that just beat Linfield and isn't something you say publically.  I've never questioned coach Smith's X's and O's, I think he's very very sound in that department.  I just think it takes some time to find your identity and make a team your own and get your own type of players.  I know they are back to business and will put together a great effort on Saturday.  The loss was probably the worst thing that could have happened for UPS.

By the way...I heard you tore it up 11.

I wasn't talking about you, Downtown 48, or the article on the website.

Believe me, the Logger fans were not happy to know that we were going to have to face an angry Linfield team but I'm guessing it may have given the players a little bit of confidence heading into this week.  Linfield is still the better team but they aren't unstoppable, as the Bearcats proved last week.

As for the coach's quote, at least Coach Willenbrock's quote was in the paper and was taken directly after the game.  The Linfield SID should have probably censored the comments a bit, which I'm guessing were taken on Sunday or Monday.  Either situation, it shows a coach that has confidence in his team and expects them to play at a certain level week in and week out and I can appreciate that.

I hope it's a competitive game on Saturday but even if it isn't, I just hope the Logs give it all they've got and don't stop playing hard until the end.

Touchdown Tommy

Man you are old WC11.  Did you bring the Pain and Agony to those poor young 'Cats?

Quarter of the way to 100 posts !!!

Pirate Pride, how did the dunk tank go?  ;D

Tuxguy

Last nights game was a blast.......of course I was filming, shaking hands and talking, which is what I do best. WC11 put on some hits last night that would have brought out the stretcher for me at least. Sure some of the guys were sucking some wind, but I was impressed with the overall play by Both Cat teams. The J.V.'s have got some players that will be fun to watch in the next few years. Cole Franklin a Fr. Qb threw some real nice pass's, at 6'2' 205 he has some size as well.

Towards the end of the 3rd q. I was at the south end zone right under the goal post. I Zoomed in straight down the field and got Brett throwing a strike to Haz at about the 10 or 15 for another Td. :o :o For a moment I was back in 2004-5.

So, the refs are getting ready for the extra point try and we are talking(what a surprise) when  one of them says, I had to duck a few times over the years when he (Brett) would throw one over the middle like a bullet. Classic!  ;D

Thanks Guys, that was fun. Take 2 aspirin and go back to bed!

GO WILDCATS
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Well I got sick before I could be so fortunate to go in the dunk tank, so I got pulled from that lucky opportunity.  I heard some where that hops/barley/wheat is a good remedy for the whole sinus/throat sickness so I watched the husky game and tried to cure my illness (note the "touchdown huskies" post sometime on saturday night).  Unfortunately, all i added to me having a brutal cold was a headache the next day, so maybe I won't be trying that one again ;)

I don't know how you guys do it. Those youngsters are young and in their prime athletic years. Nice to see the old guys bring it.

RFB,

The youngers are young but there is something to say about experience.  I felt pretty good this morning but I'm locking up a little as the day moves along.

Coco,

Nope back at work today!  It keeps my mind off the pain!  ;)

Linfield ranked #23??    Ahead of Redlands, Occidental, PLU and Whitworth?

I am a strong Wildcat fan; but, that ranking is a huge insult to those four fine teams.
Linfield has a long way to go to even be considered for the Top 25.

So far, after 3 games, Linfield has shown lots of errors and weakness in too many areas.       Every game is now crucial for Linfield.

GO CATS! GO
