coco...we'll see you out there next year to show those young whippersnappers how it's done. Remember what Wildcat11 said....experience can be your friend.

Wildcat11...will you be posting your post game comments/summary this week on your blog like you have for the previous games? I know you might need time to recuperate.   ;)

coco

Sure, Bluenote. I could take off my knee braces and whack those little JV kids with them. I couldn't block a kitten anymore.

Well...you could just suite up and walk out there and it would scare them to death with all those muscles popping out. Plus Nancy could be on the rally squad!

Cats gotta play the remainder of the games like it's their last and I suspect they will.

Cats roll Saturday. 100+ yards on the ground.

Lutes win and break into the top 25.

See ya at the tailgater :)

Pat...is there another way into your Verizon article?

George,

Your always hard on the Cats............ranked #23
Lets look into this a little.

Redlands:
Big win over the Haskell Indian Nation 42-7 Impressive win.
Chapman 12-0
and The Rats 24-12.
2 of the 3 teams are 4-4........Does Haskell have a Varsity?  ;D

Whitworth:
lost to Redlands and gets by Stout in the last seconds of the game( don't get me wrong ...nice win by th Rats)
The wins come from teams with a win loss of 2-7.

Oxy:?
Please!!!!
They have 3 wins over teams with a combined win- loss of 1-10, I'm impressed!

The Cats are 1-1 in D3 and 1-2 over-all, so lets keep this all in perspective now. If the wins don't start coming I will be right with you.

Until then.........
GO WILDCATS
ONE PLAY AT A TIME
ONE GAME AT A TIME
AND LET'S LEAVE NO DOUBT

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Indeed, that changes frequently. But it's archived on my blog:

Well I got sick before I could be so fortunate to go in the dunk tank, so I got pulled from that lucky opportunity.  I heard some where that hops/barley/wheat is a good remedy for the whole sinus/throat sickness so I watched the husky game and tried to cure my illness (note the "touchdown huskies" post sometime on saturday night).  Unfortunately, all i added to me having a brutal cold was a headache the next day, so maybe I won't be trying that one again ;)

That remedy only works for ligament tears and broken bones.  ;)

I was waiting on Saturday for a follow up to the "touchdown huskies" post but it never came.  I thought it odd at the time but now I understand.  :)

Couldn't agree more with you Tuxguy...Until Linfield really loses to a complete stiff (I'm not ready to call Willamette that yet, they may be better than we think), and those other "fine" teams that George mentions beat someone of consequence, let's take it easy.  If the Wildcats can get their sh*t together they will be very very good.  I think we're going to have a real good indication of how good this version of the cats are going to be after this coming weekend.  If they put it all together, this could be a good example of why it's good to schedule tough games and find out your weaknesses.  Linfield has to fight for lives now but if they get it done...come November, Oxy will hit the field against the Wildcats and get wamboozled after playing the Southern California School of the Blind in the preseason.  We'll know Saturday at about 4:00 PM which way it's gonna go.

Uh, Blue, the only muscle popping out these days is the overdeveloped stomach muscle.

Little early for this but....Interesting...let's say Linfield runs the table and ends up 7-2. PLU wins all their remaining games except looses to Linfield and ends up 8-1. What would happen as far as playoffs are concerned? Anybody care to guess? (Whitworth would end up with at least 3 losses so they'd be out for sure?)

To throw another twist in it..what would happen if Linfield drops it's game at SOU and ends up 6-3....how would that effect the above scenerio. We'd still be 6-1 in DIII...same as PLU if think. But overall 6-3 vs 8-1.

If anybody from the NWC went to the playoffs the Cats would go because they would only have one loss that matters (the WOU loss is a non-D3, non regional) and the head to head victory later in the season would put them over PLU.
Go Cats!

...you' think so but that didn't happen a couple years ago. So it may not be as cut and dry as one might expect? And if PLU wins all except the Linfield match-up they would have beat Willamette.

I think two-way tiebreakers and three-way tiebreakers are apples and oranges.

....they are different situations but have some similarities and complexities. You still need to go down the list of criteria to come to a conclusion which we wouldn't have at this time.
