The Great Northwest Athletic Conference could use another football member.  They  only have 4 teams playing football.

The GNAC will actually have five football playing members.  Dixie State will join Humboldt, Western Oregon, Western Washington and Central Washington.

Speaking of scheduling, after talking with people at Whiworth it sounds to me like it is getting harder for them to schedule games.  SCIAC teams are no longer returning calls (the Pirates used to play CLU and PP)...the La Verne series may be done, as well as the Redlands one.  Glad Stout agreed to a home-away and hopefully more WIAC teams will work out games with not only Whitworth but the rest of the NWC.  Oxy has yet to agree to a game with the Pirates even though from what I understand it has been nrought up.  Just wanted to let you Linfield fans that you are no longer alone (even though this is a rather new experience for the Whitworth staff and fans).

According to the Redlands broadcast team during the Whitworth game the series has been renewed. Now if we could get Linfield on the schedule for 9/15/08 we can stop this useless drivel that has been beat to death. Win your games on the field and shutup.

There have been two people who have said that SCIAC schools don't want to schedule. One is WC11 who is completely credible because of his Linfield contacts. With Linfields ass kicking of every team over 2004-2005 I don't blame schools from shying away. The other is 509 Rat who says he knows someone. To me that is pure speculation. I would also think that someone who writes for this website would not make a stupid post like the one you just did and fuel the conversation, even if you were kidding. Why don't you call the SCIAC coaches or athletic directors to try and find out. Isn't that your job? To find things like this out?

My point was that you as a writer for this website who covers the conference you're mentioning should not continue to spread speculation.
