Not much to add to what Coach Smith said and what is on the Linfield preview page. I was going to say as much. I can add that they had 15 guys out due to injuries, 10 were starters in the Stout game at the start of the year, in which they played pretty well. They have alot of freshman and sophomores playing which gives a lot of inexperience and leads to inconsistant play. Despite the scores, I think their D is the Oaks strong point. The O's poor play just lets the defense be on the field too long and has given the opponents short fields with turnovers.
Any of the folks on the boards going to make the trip to Atherton?
I was seriously considering making the drive up for the game but I have to be back in L.A. early Sunday and just couldn't convince myself to drive all the way up Saturday monring and then right back after the game.  I'll be logged on to D&D of course.
Cawcdad--tell us some about the players for Menlo (which guys do we need to watch for), how do you see the Cats attacking them (besides however they want...).....etc.....c'mon you've watched these guys all season and must have some insight for us.  :)

From the menlo game preview page:
The game will be broadcast live on radio station KLYC (1260 AM) with Dave Hansen and Scott Carnahan calling the action...regular play-by-play announcer Darrell Aune is unable to make the trip...

Does anyone know if menlo has made any improvements to their football field? Last time I was there, they had port-a-johns
and double uprights on the goalposts.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Same old, same old R&P. Porta potties, double uprights on the goal posts. Tiny bleachers.

Yeah hate to say it, but not much of a facility.  No improvements to speak of.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

I would also highly recommend The Oasis on El Camino in Menlo Park.  You can carve your name into a booth!

Understood, thanks.

I still believed away games would be televised in that package deal. Will Whitworth be televised (other than their stream?)

Thanks to oAs and PC for getting Linfield on the main page again:  Lemons in limelight!

Only Linfield home games are available. You can watch them play Lewis and Clark in a few weeks.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

And I think we can watch the Whitworth game via their broadcast on Windows Media Player (with D&D playing on quicktime for the audio...).

Go Cats!

Please don't take up all the spots...I might want to check out some of this contest.

I watched PLU-Whitworth via the Pirate broadcast and found their play-by-play and color guy to be pretty darn good.

I think I'll pass on the $12 to see Linfield-L&C.

I think somebody else said the Whitworth broadcast was pretty good, too.

DOC, the great weather came just a few days too late. It's perfect again today.

But I'd take lousy weather and a football win anytime.

Good luck getting that to sync up... ;)

Thanks for the coverage, Pat and OAS.

I really just use the audio to filter out any background noise around the house---I'm usually too busy typing my posts while watching the video to actually listen ;)
Go Cats!

Thanks for the great coverage and story OAS!  :)  Did you get your picture taken with the Cheerleaders like Pat and Keith did!    ::)

I generally hate windows media player, but I may have to make an acception for this huge game. I am not overlooking the Trees this weekend though. I heard Nate Jackson discovered he still has elgibility.
