It was fun--  I actually had a decent round--  MM tried to give me the mystery wedge back, but since I can't hit that club I just told him to keep it for another year

You and Motor are probably the only two there that can hit that club(Southpaws)  ;D

It should be a close game, but I pick.....Linfield

GO CATS! GO!

Whitworth's strenght is their o-line and their zone blocking.  They create gaps and Anderson hits the gap and presto 6 yards.  Key will be Cats d-line disrupting the gaps and linebackers cleaning up.  Cats have to stop Kemp when he scrambles as he doesn't go down easy. (3rd and 15 crucial time against APU and he goes for 41.)

CalCat...I like what you are saying here. I'm right with you on your analysis... :)

Touchdown Tommy

GHC the initials of this culprit are O.A.S., I woulda thought a smart fellow like you would have picked up on that hint before.  Have the high octane Longies fried your brain?

Alright Cats time to win out.  TDT is hoping the purple does its thing so we can host you in Collegeville in Round 2.  If you didn't make the trip in 03, make sure you clear the calendar because the Stiftungsfestivities is NOT to be missed...

....OK TDT.....make sure the beer is cold and you've paid for Pat and Keith's tickets to the game + airfare and hotel rooms + food for their friends !

coco

TDT,

Do you always have the same hamburgers and hot dogs at your tailgates? And watery Hamms?

We LIKE the longies strong.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Gig Harbor Cat

You must be mistaken TDT--  I saw OAS throw his back and say " Is that all you got !!"

Then he fell on his face

Not really TDT  OAS loves my high octaine longies, in fact I think he had some with his breakfast on gameday.  He tha man--
Otherwise 11 and I wouldn't hang with him.

Some very noteworthy Linfield news (non-football related):

Linfield inks big development deal

We all knew that Linfield wouldn't sit on that farmland on the HP campus forever.  Curious to see who Trammell Crow will bring in as far as their anchor tenant.

Pirate Pride

With a very hectic 2 weeks of work coming to a close I just wanted to say that I can't wait to make the trek at 6 am tomorrow morning for the big game.  I will be ready to tailgate and think this one could be a low scoring game actually.  Linfield has done a good job of prepping for us in the past (besides clarks soph and jr year), and our db's have seen the linfield passing game for 3 straight years so I think d is going to come up big tomorrow...With that being said the score will probably end up being 42-38.

Last post of the day from me as I have to hunker down for the last day of the fiscal quarter.

I did manage to knock out a game preview on ADvantage Catdome: Rat Race!  Linfield @ Whitworth.

Go' Cats!

I like the earlier analysis of Whitworth's o-line/running game vs. the Linfield d-line, it was pretty much spot on.  I don't think the flip-side of the matchup is going to be as big of a deal.  I don't think Linfield can run the ball on Whitworth consistently.  Can they run enough to keep the Pirates honest and win the football game?  Yes, but watching last years game in McMinville, the Pirate D-Line and Linebacking core did a good job of moving a veteran Wildcat offensive line around the field.  This year's Cat o-line is much younger and not quite as talented from what I've seen (just in terms of numbers, sack totals, running yards, etc.).  While they have imporved throughout the season I think Whitworth can still put a ton of pressure on Scharer and force some turnovers (I don't think we'll get 7 again  :D ).  Once again a low scoring game where the Rats come out on top...21-17

Does anybody know what the weather will be like Saturday in RatLand?

(509)Rat.....From what I saw last week at Willamette the Whitworth defense looks pretty good. I think it will be a battle. However I think Linfield has more firepower on offense than what you've been seeing lately. Look for the 'cats to win 27 - 23.   ;)

I checked and it looks like it will be a heavy rain of purple frisbees.

Phone it in

My $.02 here on out...

Any team with a guy who can kick 54 yard field goals will have the advantage.

FYI: According to Weather Underground, the forecast for Spokane on Saturday is:
Partly sunny. Highs in the lower to mid 50s. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

Quite a contrast with Central Louisiana.  The forecast here for Saturday is clear skies, nothing but sun and a high in the mid 80s.
