(509)Rat.....From what I saw last week at Willamette the Whitworth defense looks pretty good. I think it will be a battle. However I think Linfield has more firepower on offense than what you've been seeing lately. Look for the 'cats to win 27 - 23.

Grrrrreat piece on the Lemon Brothers and Linfield today on the ESPN GameDay show.  You can't buy publicity like that and the commentators had all the "key words" in the piece..."powerhouse", "4 national championships", "20 conference championships"....and then the close..."52 straight winning seasons"----the most of any college at any level of college football"...and then to close it all turning to the Duck crowd and asking them to cheer for the Cats today at Whitworth.  A roar from the Duck fans goes up from the crowd...what a classy ending!

Indeed a great piece. How about the reference to the Whitworth Pirates being Linfields Washington Generals. The Rats are a better opponent but still beat the Cats about as often as the Generals beat the Globetrotters.
