Andrew Woods getting some good action in the Aztec Bowl. Start of the 3rd quarter.

NEWSFLASH! USA took control and up handily w/ 3:00 left.

Steve Palmer of UPS getting a mention for being the first rep for his school. Brandon Bennett had an outstanding game and got kudos.

I noticed most of the D1 teams are playing 12 games now during regular season.   ::)

Ohio St. schedules those games to financially assist those smaller schools in Ohio. The money they make from playing Ohio St. is more than they make the rest of the season. They do not always play an Oxy peseason, they did a home and away with Texas and the next 2 years with USC.

Whoopee! ::)  I never thought of Buckeye football as an eleemosynary activity (except when they play Florida for the BS championship).  Here are  their future schedules.  At least they will be supporting our troops.

BTW - I notice that you have been avidly (correctly) supporting the tough Crespi schedule and their ability to meet that challenge.  OSU can do the same.

If you will excuse me for turning things back to NWC football ( :)), I have already heard John Tully's name come up as a strong candidate to take the now-open head coaching position at Eastern Washington.  Has anyone else heard this and does anything think they would actually go after him?  He has done some good things at Whitworth but that is still quite the jump!

Well now that Junior is done maybe he might take the leap.  I would have never thought that Coach Locey would leave Linfield so if EWU did talk to Tully I would "never say never".

It is a great article. What the reporter didn't mention was that some Linfield supporters regularly drove Doug to Portland for his appts. It was a nice way for fans to give back to the program.

"Linfield Family" not a cliche.

Great story on the Linfield family! You guys are the best! :)

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I didn't know that about Doug. And that makes me even more appreciative of his efforts as a coach and player.  I just remember him as being the best offensive guard in the history of Linfield.
