What a wonderful story that captures what Linfield is all about.  I learned about the Cats when they came and conquered at the Stagg Bowl and was "swept off my feet" by the great people I met and so it has continued ever since.  This is a shining example and I am sure not the only one of the Linfield family doing what families do, helping one another.  A great article, R&P.  Oh and I love that it is about a former OLINE guy.  Speaking of which how is our Oline guy coming along?  The grades are done and it's Brownie baking central here, getting ready for the Stagg Bowl coming up shortly!!   Have a fantastic holiday to all the Cat fans.  Soon, like Dec. 16 can we start planning for next year? ;D ;D
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Thanks for asking. He is doing great. He's  the PE coach and Athletic Director at his school.
Finishing up my final grades also.

Merry Christmas to Everyone!

Washington State is coming down hard on Abilene Cooper High School because of the CHS Cougar mascot.

QuoteFor example, if a school has a large amount of stationary with a disputed logo on it, it won't be required to just trash it.

"They can use whatever they have left, and when the time is right order more stationary with the replacement logo," he said

It's good to see that Cooper is getting a move on to resolve this.  We wouldn't want them to be stubborn and remain stationery. ??? ::)

This reminds me of my 8th grade spelling teacher.

Stationary = Standing

Stationery = Paper

Capital = A

Capitol = Dome

Cemetery = all "e's"

and a bunch more!

Should Menlo sue Penn State?
Here in AZ there are many high school teams using the same logos as college teams.
Washington State needs to chill out.

Without a contender  in the race ( 'no dog in the fight'  being verboten) I am grateful the Stagg does not come on at 7AM PST this year thereby allowing some early surfing and a cup of cocoa by the fire to watch the perennial thumbs down when the foot is upon the throat of the MUC opponent.

I'll take the team in purple......with Black or White.

I should know better than to read your posts late at night... ;)
( I get it )  ;D

Why such a late start?...in 2004 we were well on our way by 7am and tailgated well into the night. PST

GO WILDCATS
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I'm going to assume that it's a sign of the increased popularity of D3football that they moved it to a more prime spot.....or maybe it's just a show of kindness to us on the West Coast......ya know...since we have so much riding on the game this year :)  Seriously though, it makes more sense to stick it at at time that everybody can appreciate (any later would get to be too late in the east I would think...)

Someone over at espn needs to tell Pam Ward it's Mount Union not Mountain Union.
She and her partner have been mispronouncing the name all game long.

GHC . . . damn close call, but for a Jones keeper with a minute and half left, you'd have hit the nail on the head.

RNP, if you have live pause on your tv, next year turn down the sound on the TV and listen to the d3 broadcast off the internet.
