Seems any of the Wisconsin schools would be tougher AND an in-region game though...

Well as long as we can win the NWC it doesn't matter if we play in region or not--- I guess if we didn't win the conference and needed a pool C that would matter but......anyway.
Go Cats!

No one has convinced me yet that we can't get 10 games. But I guess I haven't been in on the phone conversions. Plus I don't know the exact budget. I'd be willing to put up some money or maybe sponsor a player for flight and room and board if we could get a game with a 10th opponent. And if 48 more people signed on it wouldn't be a problem.

Hope you're prepared to dig deep -- I've heard anywhere from $40,000 to $55,000 to make that kind of trip.

That's over our annual budget for all five sites, actually.

I have a question.  How stable is the Lewis & Clark program at this point?  And if a conference with an automatic bid loses a program just before the season or during the season and drop below the minimum number of teams needed for an automatic do they lose their auto bid immediately, the next year, or is there some committee that would decide that?  Anyone know?

Speedy,

Good question but I think L&C is legit in terms of their effort to build the program.  I think D-Train has an inside line about them and maybe could shed some more light about the Pios (since there isn't any Pios on this board).

GHC...I have some scrap copper pipe you could sell to add to the flight collection.

Good idea!  I can go out and get some tonight.  I noticed a place called T. Park Acres (I think) just off Hwy. 1. No dogs or entrance gate as far as I can tell. Really easy to get up under those blocked babies and the copper comes right off.
Perhaps we can name the elusive 10th game Copper Bowl.

Better than having it in a 401(k) right now ...

There's a two-year grace period for keeping an automatic bid if you lose a team, but not sure if you have to have an AQ for a certain amount of time before qualifying or anything.

Thanks Pat and 11 for your answers.

I really hope L & C can keep their program going.  I'm rooting for Pacific to get back in the game too, as one of my favorite memories from playing for PLU occured at Forest Grove.

My thoughts exactly, Speedy. I've been pulling for L&C to do well, also. It seems as if they have it all in place now, with an administration backing them, a solid coaching staff, and their recruitment is working. I keep hoping those kids can pull out a win.

I'm also thinking that Pacific is on the verge of bringing back football, maybe very soon. They'll need some time to get the program up and running from the time they announce their comeback, and it will be expensive.

What is your favorite memory that happened at Pacific?

Just can't wait to get a friendly bet down on the first Pacific-Lewis & Clark game!

Coco,
Does it have something to do with a sideline tackle ??   Hey Dens, how much cash do you have buried on the beach anyway??
