I'm glad you got that story about Brosius, WC11. When it came on the news, Mrs. C and I looked at each other and said we hoped it would show up here. He's a class act and a credit to the college and the community.

That's a gutsy move on Willenbrock's part, and I hope UPS can give Whitewater a game. UWW is losing a ton of power, but still.... Whitewater and UPS? I give Willenbrock credit for that one.

Maybe Phillip "Ali" Willenbrock can loan some of his testicular fortitude to some of the SCIAC coaches????

Great clip 11. Thanks for breaking up the spring time with a little football. Football is good anytime.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Happy belated Easter to all.

Well now, That song grew on me too.

That Western Oregon team looked pretty fundamentally disciplined compared to those in the past.

Here's to that 0-2 streak being over,,,

I like that idea, too. Playing IIAC teams would be great! I wish we could get some home and home deals going with you guys.

That would be nice. I owe Warty and Charlie Kohawk something if they can make it out.

A new Wildcat bus passed me on the road. 'Cats travel in style now.

Nice work 11.  Best shot was of big #34 tapping out--  Not sure what sideline he was heading to.

You got that right Gig. I think that kid thought maybe he had a train stuck in his chest. He got "D-RAILED"

Way to go Defense. Send them all to the sideline.

Wildcat'64

Cat Asst Coach Thomas Ford had a "big night" Sunday playing for the Alaska Wild.  Scored three TD's in a win over Odessa , Texas and really brought a running game to the Wild to balance their passing attack.

Good job, Thomas!

That's good news to hear about a deserving young man. Do you get to go to any of the games, '64?

Coco,

Yep, I caught a few of their games last year....it was an UGLY startup as a new franchise.  It was particularly tough for Thomas, I know, because he even articulated it to the press....he said something last year like..."I'm from a Linfield football program that only wins".  He's off to a better start this year at 2-2 which totals their total number of wins last season.
I talked with Thomas at a social event prior to the season last year...he indeed is a fine young man in the Rutschman/Locey tradition of football players.
You can read the article on the game and Thomas' quotes at www.ADN.com/sports.

Finally some new football happenings!
Looks like A.F. Elliott, Brett's youngest brother, will be entering LINFIELD after a year at Lane Community College down in Eugene.
His position? Why, quarterback, of course!

That's welcome news about Little Elliott. We've had success with younger brothers at Linfield.

'64, great article about T. Ford. Not a surprise to see that he's the best rusher on the team, scoring 3 TDs. It's awesome when some of these guys can continue playing after college.
