Outstanding! What a tribute to Russell, and just look at those names. They were a large part of the reason he was able to do what he did. Great players, all of them. That was an Oline to put fear into defenses.

That whole group was a joy to watch.

Proud Papa Joe

Them are some fine words spoken by true men.(the O-Line) D-Russ must have done it right to be respected like that.

Great job once agian 11.

Can't wait for spring 08.

David Russell was a Sic Wid It Back. Basically, unstoppable. He was unreal in all facets of the game. He could run outside, inside, over you, around you. Just a reminder of what hard nose football is all about.

It's scary when a football program can field a back like DR. I've seen SL run the rock in person. He's going to be a good one. Northern Cali know's how to produce the good ones. Ask WC11 he is a NorCal product even though he should be lumped in with those adopted Oregon recruits. I would guess Redlands missed out on # 11.

I really enjoyed reading the o-line tribute to Russell
and the blog by Dominey.
It's very impressive to read how Linfield Football has influenced the lives of its players.
Their positive attitude, focus, and drive in life can be attributed to their parents, themselves, their coaches, and their teammates.
May the Linfield Tradition live on!

Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

WC11 or anyone else know why Haze isn't playing but coaching with the Boise Burn in AF2? I'm going to watch Boise at Stockton june 21, Casey Allen and Haze against Oxy's Andy Collins.

Cawcdad,

Haze is into coaching and knows that's what he's going to be doing for a long time so he's trying to gain as much experience as possible.  Now I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up back in uniform before the season is out but his coaching comes first.  Chris Boock played big minutes last week and should be getting more and more time for the Burn.  Be sure to track him down on the 21st, I'm sure he'll shoot the breeze with you.

Been waiting for this but it doesn't seem to load?

CatDad,

Just checked the vid and it seems to be working.  Have you been able to watch the other vids?  If you're still having trouble just drop me an email (catdomealumni@yahoo.com) and I can try to help troubleshoot your video player.  -11

On a sidenote, I've been pulling clips of the 05 Whitewater game the last couple of nights and besides the game being incredible I forgot just how electric the crowd was for that game.

D O.C.

Don't bother looking for my expression during that last series of three passes for less than ten yards.    :'(

Here's an article on an incoming frosh from Truckee, NV.

Truckee's Hyland to play football at Linfield College

--But at 6-1 and 170 pounds - undersized for a defensive lineman — Hyland was told by Linfield coaches that he’ll likely be moved to safety, where he can better take advantage of his speed. That’s fine by him.

“I’m going to be humble about it and play wherever they want me,” said Hyland, who will live on campus his freshman year and major in political science. His goal in the sport is to help lead the Wildcats to a fifth national championship.

“I’m just really excited to go to school with such a (football) tradition,” Hyland said.

Sounds like the Cats have found another good one.  WOW this freshman class will be one to get excited about over the next four years!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

I think you're right, '64. According to the local paper, we're getting the cream of the crop, and these kids seem to be getting bigger each year. Some of the linemen are already huge, and they've still got some bulking up to do.

"Asked what were his fondest memories of high school football, Hyland said "All four years playing with my teammates, just that camaraderie. And being able to be on a great team with a great coaching staff.'"

Sounds like a excellent match for the kid from Truckee.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

ok got it... seems as though someone changed the filters at work...  great job on the video
