No, again, it's not part of the equation. If you want to blame it on something because it makes you feel better, that's fine, but you have to find something other than Title IX.

D-III schools give guarantees as well. Co-ed ones, even.

Thanks for the info Pat---I for one know very little about title IX except that is supposed to attempt to create gender equality in sports at schools....

Thanks, Pat.
I didn't know if a school would have to drop another $10K for volleyball nets or whatever.

Does St. Johns have to worry about Title IX? And the allocating of limited resources/money to fund all the Title IX requirements like a coed school does?

Pat Coleman

Schools with one gender quite obviously do not have to worry about gender equity.

Neither do schools which do not accept federal financial aid money, such as Division III Grove City and, to my understanding, Division II Hillsdale.

You're welcome!
Can't wait for the '08 season to start. I'm purchasing a "season pass" on stretch internet so I can watch the 'Cat home games down here in the desert.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I hope you all have a fun day, don't have to do any work, and get to watch the game on TV.

Mrs. Coco:

Extend my Happy Father's Day greetings to The Great One.

I spent part of the day painting garage walls and then went downtown to watch the Mississippi River roll by carrying tons of Iowa top soil down to Louisianna.  Mrs. Warthog is stranded in Souix City at her dad's house without a direct route back home.  With bridges and roads closed, getting from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River is a challenge.  She thinks she will head home Tuesday.  More highways should be reopened by then.  Send my greetings to the entire Coco clan.

;D ;D Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads.

I spent the day playing golf with my Dad and my Son Simon. We played at Sevillano Links in NorCal. Course was designed by Big John Daly. One of the longest courses in the U.S. 7,800 yds if you play from the Daly Tees. Needless to say we didn't. But I did play the young kid tough. He still can't beat the Old Man.

Warthog:

Sorry to here about the Wifes problems getting home. Hope everything works out ok.

Thanks Pat....I was thinking that is probably why St. Johns can afford to pay Crown $10,000. Where as we would a have to sacrifice our left ------ to do the same. I believe that's the point of the above conversation.

You did your usual excellent job with the video, WC11. What's not to like about a Linfield/PLU game?

I vote yes on the T-shirts, as long as they are the good-quality kind.  They would probably sell well at the tailgates, too.

Always love Linfield/PLU week.

Thanks for the feedback on Catdomealumni.com T-Shirts.  I've had a few other e-mails and it's something I'm really considering to get ready by the start of the season.  I'll keep the Catdome family up to speed on their progress.
